This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of January, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [2667].

Born November 2, 1878, in Chicago, Ill. Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces; giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how. You will also answer any questions, I may ask you regarding this.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, with those relations to the Universe and Universal Forces, as are manifested in the personality of the entity in the present earth’s plane, with those urges as are innate from the appearances in the earth’s plane, the abilities of the entity, and to that which the entity may attain, and how.

3. In taking the present position in the earth’s plane, we find the entity comes from the influence of Jupiter, with Mercury and Venus, with the adverse influence of Uranus, with that of the Pleiades. Hence, we find these as personalities, irrespective of the will’s force, and as how will’s force manifests in the present earth’s plane, and the conditions then, as are exhibited in the present earth plane:

4. One who has builded much through tenacity and labor in the earth’s plane, under the stress of many conditions that were in the way of hindrances; though one who, with love, has developed much, and love’s influence been much to the betterment of every condition in the present plane.

5. One that is exacting to a fault, when comes to obedience of self, or of others in whom the entity has the influence.

6. One who has gained much by the association of those in many of the religious influences in the earth’s plane, many even of the different beliefs or tenets of self.

7. One that has the ennobling influence in the life, and has reached great heights in the abilities of manifesting or expressing same to others.

8. One of a generous nature.

9. One stable in self.

10. One who has used will’s forces in this direction.

11. One that mystery or occult forces bring either great joys or great distresses in the life of the entity.

12. One of those, as we shall see, whose environment in the earth’s plane, in various spheres, is to see the manifestations of same in decided changes taking place in the life of the entity.

13. In the present year would the entity bring the better conditions for self in financial, and in those BUILDING UP influences for self, and those dependent upon same; not only in the financial way and manner, but in the moral and spiritual influence this entity may yield in the earth’s plane.

14. One, without taking such a stand [See 2667-6], will for years to come still be in an undecided position regarding same.

15. One that has that ability to gain friends, hold same, and do good, instead of using same; yet one with the abilities of using that in hand for advantage in ennobling manner, and one that, when any questionable condition arises in the use of same, finds self at a loss, as to that to be accomplished in same.

16. In the appearances, we find many of the urges in the present earth’s plane.

17. One that has innate, in these urges, that love of BEAUTIFUL, that love of all conditions pertaining to arts for art’s sake, and for the pleasure same gives to those interested in same.

18. The entity would have made, in the first, a wonderful art collector, see?

20. The one before this, we find in that day when the persecution of the peoples of the race this entity then a part, in the German country. The entity then one who sought to gain by going to foreign shores. The entity then in the Schlegle, and the entity then gained, in the latter day of the sojourn in the country to which the entity came, and in the urge is the love of home, the dislike of travel for TRAVEL’S sake.

21. In the one before this, we find in the days when the persecution of the peoples in the country when the Roman over-ran Palestine. The entity then the soldier that led many peoples in the attempt to prevent this yoke or bondage being placed upon the peoples. Then in the name Nebat. The entity then both gained and lost, for the persecution brought self-condemnation to the entity. In this, we find the urges for the love of that country, and its peoples, and the love of freedom, and the love of race.

22. In the one before this, we find in the rebuilding of the walls of the Holy City. The entity then in that of the assistant to the one in charge of the rebuilding. Then in the name Nehemere, and the entity then gained much in the rule, and in the development of self in the earth’s plane, for the innate desire of religious forces as has ever been manifest in the present plane, with that strict adherence to the laws of household, and to home, and peoples. WITH those other urges, we find these become as the LIFE of the entity, in the present.

23. In the one before this, we find in the days when those peoples first came from that shore in now the Peruvian country, to settle the plains of now Southwestern portion of North America. [Peru: Inca? Yucatan?] The entity then among those who were the leaders in this journey for the freedom of the peoples. Hence the entity finds the love of freedom a paramount condition within the inner self, with the willful desire of every entity to express self according to dictates of own self.

24. As to that which the entity may attain in the present earth’s plane, as seen, then, necessary, in the physical labors of entity, to do or accomplish much in the present year, would the entity reach anywhere near the goal as set for self, and the establishing of any class, kind, character, of business relation, for self, as leader, head, or guide, this should be done WITHIN the present year; else we would find those influences in the earth’s plane at that position of “at-variance” to the best interests in every way.

25. Keeping first that the laws of Him, who gives life abundantly unto all men, should be the first and foremost expression of self in every manner.

26. Do that.

I was very glad to have yours of the 15th, and, as you will see, yesterday afternoon was the first possible chance to get to this reading. I’m certainly in hopes you will find this interesting and worth while. While it does not answer some of the questions that you suggested to ask, these I do not think would be covered directly in a Life Reading. There might be such a reading as I think you had once before, in which these questions might be answered. I’m in hopes though that this will be worth while and that you will be able to gain something from this.

Yes, Dave was by to see us, on his way to Chicago. We certainly enjoyed having him. He’s a wonderful young man

• full of pep, and I’m sure is making a wonderful success in his present work.

We were certainly very glad to hear from you and the rest of your family. We often think of you and speak of each one. We are glad when we can hear from you, or when we can possibly be of any help in any way.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I am in receipt of your letter of September 10th, and was glad to hear from you.

When ever I can come east I am going over to see your place as I heard so much about it through our dear friend David.

Things I suppose are about the same in your vicinity as they are with us; they say that things are improving and prosperity is just around the corner, but they don’t tell you where that corner is. Well, I do believe that it cannot last much longer and improvement will be gradual; as one man put it the other day, “that this country is on the bottom of a big boom” so it goes.

The main thing is to keep in good health, and be prepared to meet the future. I am an optimist; sometimes I believe that I am too much so, but I find that it is important to be so, otherwise you might as well get out of the rank and file and make room for the more energetically inclined; to survive now-adays, is a man’s job.

It will be O.K. the 20th, as per your time, and I shall look forward hearing from you soon again, and in the meantime take good care of your health, with kindest regards from Mrs. […] and myself to you and yours,
