This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of July, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [270].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. San Francisco, Calif.

  1. GC: You will have before you at this time the body and the enquiring mind of [270], employed by the … Co., of Room …, … St., San Francisco, Calif., and who has transferred effective July 1, 1929, from the Chicago to its San Francisco office. The body accepted this change reluctantly because of the presence of so many discouraging conditions, finally agreeing on the basis that it would be to the best interests of all concerned. Will this transfer be of a temporary or permanent nature? State in months the stay of this body in San Francisco. Will those forces and associations who have been so willing to find fault and place obstacles before the efforts of this body be allowed to continue this malfeasance of office? You will also answer the other questions I will ask you regarding this body.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body [270], the enquiring mind of this body, and those conditions as have surrounded the body respecting the changes. There has been given that as seen through the conditions as existed. The acts of the body in accepting this change were not in accord with those suggestions given concerning same. Then, to consider the conditions as they exist under the present arrangements is that asked and sought. Would the body-mental consider for self that, when advice or counsel was sought from the mental abilities of the body, it becoming to seek advice from those who counseled with and for the body, yet the body acting in direct opposition to that counseled, could there be faith gained in faithless action? Can there be sought truth when the actions belie that given? Then, take that thou hast in hand and work out same to thine OWN understanding. To run away from that as would trouble does not alleviate responsibility, nor does the shifting of responsibility relieve the body-conscience, or the body-ability of that as the mental being is responsible for. When one - ANYONE - feels there is only a one-side to a trouble, he may be very sure he, the individual, is SELFISH in his own outlook and is warped in his judgement by same. As to time or months, make the most of that thou hast in hand. We are through.
