This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of December, 1930, in accordance with request made by her mother - Mrs. [255].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Changes in the physical forces of the body since last we had same.

  2. In the acute conditions as related to the internal effect that has been created, we would use - over those portions where the pains are severe - the stupes of mullein; increasing the amount of the ash to two doses per day.

  3. Also we would have both the ultra-violet and Infra Red used on and over the body. The Infra Red more for the structural portions, while the ultra-violet will be given following or soon after - thirty to forty minutes - the carbon ash, that there may be more oxygen loosened in or for the blood supply.

  4. When the pain is acute, a mild sedative may be given.

  5. The manipulations or adjustments should also be had, and - as we find - the condition will adjust itself with that as has been brought about.

  6. It will be found necessary that some changes be made a little later, when there is either the accumulation in a specific center or the system has - through drainages - eliminated same FROM the system. Hence the eliminations must be kept up through the alimentary canal and the general system, but do not overtax same at the expense of other portions of the body. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) How long at a time should the mullein stupes be applied? (A) Until the pain is relieved. These should be applied as warm as the body can well stand, but do not produce TOO much of a center for accumulation of refuse forces.

  8. (Q) How often manipulations? (A) Every other day.

  9. (Q) How often the lights? (A) As given, one - the ultra-violet - would be given forty minutes after the dose of ash - which would make it twice each day. The Infra Red will be once to twice a week. We are through with this reading.
