This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of January, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [275].

Time of Reading 3:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [275]. Conditions are considerably different from that as we last had same here. The strain as experienced in the muscular forces of the extremities, or limbs themselves, shows marked improvement. While the condition was rather severe, this may be taken advantage of and be for the BETTERMENT of the body.

2. We would continue to make for cartilaginous forces in the system. Well that the manipulations be kept, with the limb well down - that is, so that the end of the structural portion of bone itself may have an opportunity to add cartilaginous forces. Not in such a manner as to form a stiffness, but we would begin with more lime and salines in the foods.

3. We would keep, quite often, the ash - that the oxygen may be loosed in the system, through the application of the ultra violet with this in the system.

4. We will find that the reactions will be for the betterment.

5. It would be well to occasionally massage the knee and the hip with a saturated solution of vinegar and salt; PURE apple vinegar, not synthetic - nor that containing too much of raw acetic acid. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Are we aiding correctment by the slow, gentle stretching of ligaments in the joint? (A) This is aiding, provided the cartilaginous forces are met in a PROPER manner. It would be well were the condition RADIOGRAPHED, for the actual POSITION existent - so that this gap, where there has been erosion in structure, may be replenished. Not that we are to build a new bone, but nature will make a pad of cartilaginous forces that - being padded below and above - will not be near so much of the limp in the body’s movements.

7. (Q) Has progress been retarded by the fall causing strain of knee ligaments? (A) As given, this may be taken ADVANTAGE of, and while severe prove beneficial. Retarded in some respects, but may be more effective in others.

8. (Q) Is there more pliability to hip joint ligaments than prior to fall? (A) There is more; but the position should be kept in mind as the stretching is made, and the condition existent in the joint itself should be kept in mind. Hence that beneficial effect to the OPERATOR for a radiograph; not that it shows any more than may be told - but the actual position may be recognized better by the actual vision of conditions existent at the present, see?

R1. 1/13/31 Mother [255]‘s letter: “I feel so happy and thankful for everything! [275] is getting along very well. She still is using the cane for support. Again I saw her in perfect health in a dream at night. It is the third time! Only now, when I saw her walk perfectly, I was not concentrating on her any more, but on some wonderful experience I had had. I was just about to tell it, when I woke up. The first dream I had was just before [275] had her first rdg [275-1], a warning, at the time, not to have her operated or put in cast.

“Am also glad about [being able to get] the carbon ash. It certainly seems to stimulate [275] very much and she looks much better when she has it.”

R2. 2/6/31 She obtained 275-16.

B1. 12/22/30 She obtained Ck. Physical 275-14 for fall which had sharply bent eroded head of femur for which previous rdgs. had been given.

B2. 12/29/30 Mother [255] had reported on her remarkable recovery from the fall, saying: “Dr. Grace C. Berger [D.O.] thinks [275] should have a rdg. end of this week or next Mon., in the afternoon if possible.”

B3. 1/2/31 Miss [275] submitted questions, including: “Dr. Berger would like to have explained more fully this par. from the last rdg: ‘The manipulations or adjustments should also be had and as we find - the condition will adjust itself with that as has been brought about.’ (Better ask this last.)”
