This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Zentgraf home, 400 St. Paul”s Ave., Staten Island, N.Y., this 5th day of December, 1937, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [255], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 6:25 to 6:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [275].

2. Here we find a great many changes in the general MENTAL and physical activities from that as we have had here before.

3. These as we find in the main and in the specific manners show a great deal of improvement.

4. While there is not a great CHANGE in the acute or specific condition in the pelvis activity, and especially in the limb in which disturbing conditions have been indicated, these do show a HEALTHY reaction.

5. However, the strain produced upon the pelvis as related to the lumbar and sacral axis of the body produces a nerve disturbance that at times becomes irritating to the body.

6. But better conditions may be brought, or rest for the body, and a strengthening that would not be indicated with the other disturbing conditions, if the mental attitudes are kept and the precautions are taken in the activity of the physical forces of the body.

7. So occasionally we would use, as a rest for the body, a massage with a compound prepared in this manner - or in these proportions:

Olive Oil…1 tablespoonful, Tincture of Myrrh…1 tablespoonful, Oil of Sassafras…5 minims.

8. Massage this compound occasionally, what the body will absorb, about three times a week; across the lumbar, the sacral and the lower dorsal.

9. This will bring bettered conditions, or rest for the body - and a strengthening that would not be indicated with the other disturbing conditions.

10. Do these and we will keep the nearer normal forces.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Who would be the best one to give the massage? (A) Anyone in sympathy with and close to the body.

13. (Q) The mother? (A) Or the sister, either.

14. (Q) Is there any other spiritual guidance that would be helpful at this time? (A) This is like telling or asking how the rose might be the sweeter!

The attitude in the activities of the body and the mental attitudes are rather to be COMMENDED, than directed.

For, as is the experience of the body, mentally, spiritually, that guidance which comes from the closer walk, the closer consciousness of the Christ-Spirit abiding with and within self is that way that may not be even in any manner spoken of.

Let thy meditations be as these, though in thine own words; this rather as that which might guide:

FATHER, SPIRIT, TRUTH - THAT IN MY CONSCIOUSNESS ABIDES EVER - KEEP THOU ME IN THE WAY THAT THOU SEEST I SHOULD GO! LET THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE PROMISE IN HIM, THY SON, BE MINE! AND AS THE CALL COMES, MAY MY ANSWER EVER BE: “HERE AM I, LORD, USE ME - DIRECT ME!”
