This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 30th day of June, 1942, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [3479], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - [2752] - we have the body here.

3. There are normal developments in the body, and - as we find - conditions are much improved from those as we have had here before.

4. There is less of irritation throughout the alimentary canal and the digestive system.

5. As we find, there needs to be kept only those precautions as to the diet, as to the eliminations.

6. Beware that there is not too much of irritation caused, with the heat, especially in those areas where the glandular forces - as through the emunctories - come close to the surface. Use the powders on same that carry a soothing effect; and keeping the eliminations, we will find we will have little trouble with such conditions.

7. It will be found most beneficial to massage the body of evenings, when ready to put to bed, with a little Cocoa Butter. Massage this especially along the spine, across the abdomen at the diaphragm area - the upper or central portion, not the lower portion, - just under the ribs, see? Do this front and back, and we will find it will make for much bettered conditions.

9. (Q) Are eliminations proper or sufficient now? (A) This may be best indicated by the rash, heat, or irritation to the body, see? And this may be altered or changed by either a mild change in the formula or the use of a good antiseptic (as has been indicated in the Glyco-Thymoline) and a little Castoria.

10. (Q) What produces excess gas? (A) As indicated, the irritation that arises. This finds expression through the rash in the groin, under the arms and on parts of the body.

11. (Q) About how soon should orange juice be added to the diet? (A) This depends upon the general reaction. In a month or six weeks. This is ofttimes overestimated. Better, we would give, when there is a new crop of oranges.

12. (Q) Why does she spit up her water? (A) She likes stronger drinks!

13. (Q) What causes top of head to be dry and scaly? (A) This is because of poor circulation to the upper portion. Hence, as indicated, each day use a little of the Cocoa Butter in the massage especially along the spine, the whole area, - and even this, or Olive Oil, or Peanut Oil, massaged in the scalp would be well.

14. (Q) Why does she always turn her head as if to protect her right ear? (A) This you would really find in its life experiences in the earth, not in the present. There’s no defect. And this is really a characteristic of the entity. Just as is also indicated by the other conditions in its sleep and in its waking, and in those activities having to do with the way it responds to light as well as certain noises or voices.

15. (Q) Any special precautions to be taken for this body? (A) None other than what has been indicated. Do not let those irritations from heat OR from bad eliminations cause too great an irritation in the exterior portion, and - more than that - in the internal; for you’d better keep it outside than inside, to be sure!

R1. 8/42 GD’s note: Mother [3479] said her family doctor had told her the baby’s skin condition was hereditary and that she [2752] would probably outgrow it in time.

Mrs. [1523], the baby’s aunt, said that the mother [3479] had during the first five months of pregnancy consumed both beer and highballs; would not drink milk. The father [4930] drank to excess and both parents were more or less surrounded with people drinking, throughout the period of pregnancy.

R2. 8/10/42 Mrs. [1523] reported that with following the treatment in the reading the skin condition was completely clear.
