This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of October, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2828], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [1861].

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2828].

3. Now, while we find that there are particular conditions in this body that prevent a better physical functioning, all influences and forces - in natures or conditions of this character - are to be taken into consideration.

4. So, if there would be brought about the more perfect physical condition, much of the sources of life, of health and of nature should be taken into consideration; and those expectancies, those dependences; the faith in the sources of life must be taken into consideration.

5. For, in part the entity is meeting self, from those of its experiences in the earth.

6. Then, know - deep within self - deep within thy consciousnesses - WHO healeth thy diseases, WHO giveth thee opportunities. And the trust and the hope, the understanding as may be gained by that analyzing of self from the careful study of the 30th of Deuteronomy, the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of John, should be the life. As we find, not as rote but as living, hoping, believing, knowing that as ye may ask - in His name - it may be done in the body.

7. Pathologically, we find there is the lack of energies in the body to supply those influences in the structural portion of the spine; there have become infections.

8. As we find, there may be added an oversupply of vitamins A and D, and also the necessary elements in the structural portions, or condensations.

9. Thus we would take internally the Vitamins A and D as compounded by the Miles Laboratories, or the One A Day brand of A and D, and take only one a day.

10. Also we would take CALCIOS. This we would take three times each week, sufficient to cover a whole wheat wafer. Skip a day between these, you see, - or take three times each week.

11. And each evening, or when the body takes the bath of evening, have gentle rub, - not severe but gentle, - along the whole length of the spine with Peanut Oil, - all the body will absorb along the spinal area.

12. Do these and be consistent.

13. Have activities in the open as much as practical, but not so severe as to strain the body - until there are improvements in same.

14. These as we find offer and will bring the better forces for this body, [2828].

16. (Q) How long has this condition been coming on? (A) For about ten years.

17. (Q) Approximately how long will it be before I will improve? (A) How long before tomorrow, Mr. [2828]? How long is the power of God in self? How long does it take thee to do His biddings? How long hast thou kept in the way beyond reproach of thine own self, as well as in the way of being a helpful influence in the experience of each one ye meet day by day?

Do as has been indicated, if we would bring the better forces for this body.

Q. Am I responding to the prescribed treatment? Q. Do my teeth have any direct effect on my present trouble? Q. Shall I continue previously prescribed course of treatment? Q. R4. GD’s note: Mr. [2828]‘s friends Mr. [1861] and Mrs. [2072] later told us that Mr. [2828]‘s condition, so far as they could make out, was thought to be tuberculosis of the spine. Some doctors thought he had multiple sclerosis.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I have your letter at hand and the hour suggested, 3:30 to 4:30 P.M., E.W.T. Thursday October 15th will suit me fine and I will be here at home at the above address.

I want to ask the following questions:

How long has this condition or ailment of mine been coming on?

The duration of this and will I improve?

Should I take any vitamins? and what kind?

Give suggestions as to diet.

Give suggestion as to what kind of work I can do at the present.

Is this a Karmic condition?

If a treatment is suggested what about the cost and etc. as I have not drawn any salary since July 1st this year.

Any other advice at this time?
