This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [2828], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:45 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2828].

3. As we find, there has been at times a great improvement in the physical and mental reactions in this body. Then periods arise, of course, when there are pains, owing to the conditions in which there is deterioration that apparently sets up in the structural portions of the body-force itself, particularly in certain segments of the spine.

4. Now, these are things to be met and conditions to be dealt with. But so long as there is the holding to that knowledge that He, the Creator, is mindful, and if there is the application of self in the correct way and manner, there is given sufficient strength to meet the problems.

5. Spiritualize the ideals. Know indeed what it meaneth, that “The Lord is ONE.” All that is, is His - of self, of the universe, of the activities in the earth. All moves and has its being in Him. So it is in self. Life itself is the consciousness, the awareness of that oneness of that Universal Consciousness in the earth.

6. In the present condition of this body, [2828], there might be something added that would be helpful, other than that which has been given. We refer to the Ultra-Violet Light, with the green glass injected between the body AND the light; this taken once a week for a month, and then left off for two or three weeks, and then taken again. This would necessitate the use of the Mercury Light, at least thirty-eight to forty inches from the body, while the green light would be (an eight by ten inch piece of green glass) only about fourteen inches from the body; so that the rays of the Ultra-Violet pass through this green glass, especially to those areas that are disturbing along the spinal column.

7. Each time, after this has been applied for a minute and a half to two minutes, then massage the body very gently with Peanut Oil, especially over all the areas covered by the light as would be used there.

8. But keep the attitude, the diet, the activity, the massage that has been indicated. Keep close to these, and especially that mental attitude of helpfulness, hopefulness in Him.

9. Look not back nor condemn self nor conditions because they are not different. Use that thou hast in hand to the glory of Him, and it will be acceptable to Him. For He doesn’t require the application of a ten talent individual from a one talent mind or body.

10. We are through with this reading.

I received the check Reading you gave me on April 9th.

I was sorry that I did not receive any answers to the questions I sent you. I was very much concerned about the answers to these. This letter was mailed you on Monday night the 5th, I believe. I am enclosing the copy of letter I sent you and will appreciate you letting me know whether or not you received them. If you received these questions then did they have any bearing on my Reading?

Dear Mr. [2828]

Have yours of the 19th. We evidently did not receive your questions before the reading, have not seen them before. Will be glad to undertake this again for you real soon and have another list ready - there will be no charge for this reading.

Think you can get such a light as indicated from some Physicians’ Supply House, many places rent such lights. They are made by the Gen. Electric, I believe. The green glass indicated you have to get else where - here is an address where they prepare them for you.
