This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of December, 1942, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, giving suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2831], this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are changes in the physical reactions from that indicated in the beginning as we had same here. Some show for some improvements. Some have the outward appearance of being aggravated, owing to the recurrence of disturbances not heretofore so noticeable.

4. We find it would be well, for the present, to continue the treatments as formerly suggested; at least for another six to ten periods of using the Animated Ash with the Ultra-Violet AND the green glass injected between same.

5. But we would add, in the present, the Ichthyol Ointment. When the lights have been administered, use the Ointment over the areas close to the edge of broken tissue, - as these are bathed and dressed with the solutions, of course, that have been used as antiseptics. We would not use the character of solutions exactly, but we would use preferably an alkalin antiseptic, - of the natures such as Lavoris or the like. These may be warmed if desired.

6. Then, in the matter of the diet; keep that indicated. Of course, not too great an activity, - neither can there be too great an amount of activity without some of those areas on portions of the limb, especially in the knee and hip, causing a great deal of trouble. But do massage the body along the spine, over the areas where this has not been broken, with an equal combination of Camphorated Oil and Peanut Oil. Shake these thoroughly together and use just sufficient quantity to massage it well into those areas close to the edge of the broken tissue. Whether used on the same day or other days, do use the Ichthyol Ointment also.

7. These we would do, for another series of the applications formerly suggested.

9. (Q) What has caused the recent infection, which appears different from any I have had before, and what should be done to eliminate it? (A) Do the things that we have indicated here as those necessary. This is just part of the general condition changing and getting rid of the poisons, and now we will purify and cleanse same, and there should be more improvements.

10. (Q) What is my ailment? (A) We have given a description of the condition. You can call it what you wish.

Do these things as we have given.

R1. 1/11/43 [2831]‘s letter to EC: “We completed the last treatment of the last series on Jan. 8th, and used the last capsule of Animated Ash. There is a marked improvement in the infection, both infection and drainage decreasing. However, when the treatments were stopped before between treatment and reading - while we were awaiting further instructions from you, the infection became more aggravated.

“Mr. Cayce, we would like your advice as to future treatments, readings, etc., and if another reading is in order, please give us a date at your earliest convenience, and if there is a fee for it, upon receipt of your letter, we will forward money to cover it.

“Please let us hear from you at your earliest convenience. Mr. […] has been so busy that he couldn’t write, hence my writing.”

R2. 1/24/43 Questions for reading: “1. Describe condition of bone in right limb from hip to knee. 2. What is present condition of right knee joint? 3. Is there any treatment or operation possible that would restore right limb, particularly hip and knee joints, to normal activity? 4. What is condition of chest - particularly lungs and heart area? 5. Advise kind and amount of exercise I should take for best general results?

“We have followed your instructions implicitly, and they have helped. I am wondering if the light treatments are continued if they could not be administered for a longer period of time. I can take a lot of sunshine and heat, and so far I’ve not felt any heat at all from these treatments. Maybe I’m not supposed to.”
