This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [979].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same.

2. EC: Now, we find there are many changes in the physical conditions as are shown or exhibited in the body at the present time, from that as we have had here before. A great many to the betterment of the body. Some show at times the exaggerations that are being created in the system through certain functionings of the blood supply, especially.

3. The taking into the system those properties as have been given, for the building of the system towards that of elimination, will prove effective and helpful to the abilities of the body to assimilate and cope with the creating of the extra numbers in the lymph and leucocyte portions of system, to eliminate those conditions in the body produced by the excess of serum bacilli.

4. The body, then, should keep in the system those properties as have been given, as well as the injections as are given for the overcoming of these conditions. While these injections, as we find, with the set of the blood supply, are not necessary in the quantities or numbers as given, yet these will all prove beneficial, with the eliminations kept properly; for, as has been given, the inflammation that is to be overcome by obstructions in the abdomen, and the engorgement of tissue there, will assist in elimination of same by the injections, yet, at the PRESENT time, and with the excess AMOUNT as created BY the taking of injections, the massage or the manipulation to the lumbar and pelvis region, especially in the upper sacral and to the lower portion of the dorsal region, would be much assisted in elimination, and prevent the necessity, at any time, for operation, were these carried out at this time.

5. Then, it would be taking advantage of the conditions created in the physical forces of the body to add TO the condition those of the manipulation, that the system may not become clogged, or produce in capillary circulation an excess that would produce boils or abrasions, or excess of this elimination of system by this excess of creating of the warriors in the body.

6. Then we would do that to the system and keep the others in the way given.

R1. 6/1/26 Mother’s ltr.: “In 286-4 it says ‘will assist in elimination of same by injections, and as well as the injections as are given for the overcoming of these conditions.’ In the first rdg. it gave packs (uterine local packs) [286-3, Par. 3] but no injections, and I did not just understand that part. The serum she took for safety after the experience with the dog. It may mean that she is through with them. As I understand the last rdg. she is to continue the medicine and to add to the tr. manipulations. Is that right? and do you know how much more medicine she should take? She has taken a quart, and as it’s eight dollars a quart we are hoping she won’t have to continue it for long, but want to if it’s necessary. It does not state the amount to take as it often does. She is gaining in flesh and looks much better, but I noticed after she had taken the serum her face all under skin looked as if it would break out, but it did not. It is clearing up now. She wondered if a quart more of the medicine would do. Don’t suppose you could tell either, could you? The rdg. (last one) seemed a little harder for us to understand.”

R2. 6/9/26 EC’s ltr.: “I feel very sure that half of the quantity of the medicine at the present time would be sufficient. After that we should take another rdg. to see just what the conditions are. As I understand, the reference to the injections had reference to the local (uterus) packs that were to be used with the first tr. However, I think all of this would come out in the next rdg., but I would, if I were in her place, get the half quantity of medicine. Then when she has finished with that, why we will see what we will find.”

R3. 6/22/26 Mother’s ltr.: “[286] had sent for another quart of the medicine before I rec’d your ltr. Guess it will be alright for her to take that amount. Then will see how she is. She looks better and I do so hope she will escape an operation. Has had no pain in her side for some time.”

R4. 7/19/26 Mother’s ltr.: “[286] is almost through her quart of medicine and I am sure it has helped her. She seldom complains now, and looks much better.”

R5. 2/13/27 Mother’s ltr.: “I think [286] is going to get you to give her another rdg. soon. She is so much better than before she took your tr. and only at times in bothered with indigestion. She says she wants another rdg. to see if there is anything more she should do to follow up the last tr. so as to put her in right state of health. I think the first of next month she will write you for a rdg.”
