This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of January, 1943, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [2341], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through his sister, Miss [1747].

Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In undertone - “Yes - where the Dillmans lived.”)

3. We have the body here.

4. As we find, there are disturbing conditions preventing the better physical functioning.

5. These, we find, are partially from torpidity of the liver, partially from cold and partially from a subluxation, or a deflection in the flow of energies - even in this developing body - to the liver; and thus lack of proper coordination in the gastric flows in the stomach itself.

6. While those conditions about the mouth and throat, and even on the face, are serious, it is much better that these be outside than internally. For, this would soon lead to a form of colitis; and unless it is kept in a better state it might become very serious.

7. We would begin with small doses of Fletcher’s Castoria; about five drops every half hour until there is good activity from same.

8. After this has cleansed, then begin giving Glyco-Thymoline; one to two drops in a teaspoonful of water at least three times a day. Keep this up until the odor of same may be detected in the stool.

9. If it becomes necessary, repeat the series, or repeat the course of the Castoria - after resting a few days, and followed by the Glyco-Thymoline - two drops in a teaspoonful of water, twice to three times a day.

10. At least twice each day, regularly, massage the spine thoroughly with Cocoa Butter. Do give these rubs.

11. Do put over the liver and the caecum area a flannel cloth that has been saturated in an equal combination of Mutton Tallow (liquefied), Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. This we would keep on the body, pinned to the clothing, and change daily - of course - but do keep this on, until these conditions have cleared up.

12. Do not change so much the formula for the feeding, but do add more water - and make it a little bit weaker.

13. Do these, and we will clear these conditions for this body.

15. (Q) Should any local application be used on face or mouth? (A) Carbolated Vaseline would be the better on the exterior portions. The Glyco-Thymoline, of course, as indicated to be given, will purify the mouth and throat.

B1. 12/30/42 Letter from father, [2341]: “Sometime ago I received a Physical Reading from you on myself. I have an infant daughter, born November 22, 1942, and she has not been getting along as she should, although she has been gaining in weight. Normally her mouth has been breaking out in sores and she screams terribly. Her food seems to be agreeing with her so we hate to change her formula. My sister, [1747], suggested that I obtain a Physical Reading for her from you. I would suggest as a date for her reading either Saturday or Monday if possible or convenient to you. If not, any time that you find convenient to you will be alright and you will find her at this address, … If you find it possible to hold the reading sooner, I would appreciate it very much.”
