This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of April, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Edgar Cayce.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce, and Dr. Thos. B. House, and Thomas House, Jr.]

Time of Reading 3:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Giving suggestion to restore speech - “You will tell me when this is done,” etc.)

  1. EC: Now.

  2. GC: Now you will give suggestions for the relief and improvement of this body, telling us what has caused the trouble.

  3. It’s been caused in here from taxation and congestion through those conditions as are created in the physical forces of the body by this taxation. The releasing of the pressure has brought about more normal conditions. Hence these need be kept in the more normal manner, by keeping the eliminations properly in the system, as has been outlined, and by keeping the whole mental attitude and conditions surrounding same in the proper way and manner; not attempting to abridge conditions improperly, nor to cut corners, as produce such conditions, with the whole of the forces as may be applied through the body.

  4. (Q) What brought about this taxation? (A) Overtaxing, just as given. Short cuts - congestion.

  5. (Q) Overtaxing through the physical or mental, or the readings? (A) All is one and the same. One is through which the other manifests. Short cuts don’t get anyone anywhere, when we are taxing the physical beyond that it may be able to bear, by overtaxing the mental or the psychic apparatus of the body; for through these various conditions, these bring about those congestions as have been exhibited in the body. The physical should be kept in the more near normal eliminating cooperation throughout the system, through the ways and manners as given; correcting in the proper manipulative ways and the proper secretions thrown out or set up, as given, through the conditions as have been seen. Do those. Do not overtax.

  6. (Q) How often should osteopathic treatments be given, and any specific treatments? (A) Stimulating the eliminating centers - every other day.

  7. (Q) For how long? (A) Until the corrections are made in the system. This may be seen by those operating.

  8. (Q) Should the body wait a few days, or start right in with the regular psychic work? (A) Start right in, so it’s not overtaxed.

  9. (Q) Would it be alright for the body to give readings for the next day or two? and how many? (A) Two a day!

  10. (Q) Any further suggestions for the body? (A) Be consistent in all things. Be consistent. Be consistent.

  11. We are through for the present.
