This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of November, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Edgar Cayce.

Time of Reading 3:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before. Now, there are changes in the physical conditions of the body since last we had same. While the immediate effects as created in system are directly from the same cause, or character, yet the system has responded to the administration of the manipulations, as the change the effect - not the SOURCE, or the cause.

2. In the colon, still, do we find the seat or cause of the toxic poisons, as in the blood stream cause the pressure in nerve ganglia about, or through which it flows, not being eliminated properly from the system. Hence there still exists that condition of improper eliminations, causing or producing toxemia, that produces in the nerve centers and reflexes those conditions of a neurotic, or neurasthenic, or neuritic condition. These, then, need the attention that may ELIMINATE same from system. The body should not eat so much like a pig. The body, when the labors are mental, should eat accordingly. When the labors are physical, eat accordingly. Or, keep the eliminations nearer to the normal.

3. In meeting the needs at the present time, it would be well that the irrigation of the colon be made at least every other week, for at least three to four such irrigations. Well that the last waters that are irrigated be in that proportion of one to forty of Glyco-Thymoline. This is the better intestinal antiseptic.

4. In the sweats, also will be beneficial to aid the capillary circulation, and easing the tensor [“a muscle that stretches apart”] - or the tension - on the ganglia in the OUTER circulation.

5. In the manipulations, these should center especially in those centers governing the influence of sympathetic reaction from cerebro-spinal and sympathetic system to the lower portion of stomach and liver. Also those to the locomotaries, or that as pertains principally or directly to those of the lower limbs. Then, the brachial center. Coordinating same, to be sure, with those central nerve plexuses that go directly to the brain centers. Be mindful that when such irrigations or such sweats are taken, or given, that CONGESTION does not result from same.

6. Keep the more alkalin condition in the system, but BALANCE same well with those of nerve and blood BUILDING materials. Some meats, but LITTLE or NO hog meats. Principally those of beef, mutton, or IF of the hog, only those of the liver, or of the maw or feet. In the eating of meats, be MINDFUL of that given to the peoples of old [Lev. 11] - prefer that they chew their cud, and are cloven-hoofed also. [See 254-52 on 3/2/31 referring to Biblical diet for E.C.] [Dan. 1] Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What connection is there between the headache and the pain in back? (A) Merely that reflex from poisons in system, where the activity of portions of the system revert from one to another, or sympathetic.

8. (Q) How often should osteopathic treatments be given? (A) Well were the GENTLE treatments given every day. Every third day DEEP manipulation.

9. (Q) Any further instruction? (A) We would do that. Do that, and then we would have more to do - but do that. We are through for the present.
