- EC: Yes, as we find, there is inflammation in the mucous membranes of the nasal cavities or passages, that makes for pressure which prevents the proper circulation through the head. This forms phlegm in such measures as to produce stagnations in portions of the throat, and especially in those areas just above the entrance to the lung - or to the esophagus. This needs, then, local applications with spray, or such measures as to not only reduce this but to cleanse same; such as would be prepared in this manner:
To 1 ounce of distilled water, add:
Tincture of Benzoin…20 minims, Eucalyptol…5 minims, Tolu in solution…20 minims.

Use this in a spray; keeping the eliminations through the alimentary canal, so that the circulation may be helped and aided throughout; and we will find that we will remove much of this disorder and disturbance through the body.
