EC: Yes, we have the body here, [295]; this we have had before.

As we find, while those disturbing conditions that have been indicated in the lungs, as well as in the general eliminations, are a contributory cause to be reckoned with at this time, these arise in the present from rather an acute condition as brought on by poisons in the system itself.

Hence the condition not only with the chest cold but through the alimentary canal.

As we find in the present, then:

First we would take, for a day or more, small quantities of Olive Oil; half a teaspoonful about every hour or as much as the body will absorb. If this becomes more nauseating than has been indicated, or if there comes the rise of temperature from same, well that this be reduced by rubbing with rub alcohol along the spine; this from the head, neck, downward along the spine.

During the same period or day take about an ounce of Saffron Tea every three hours apart. This would be made by using a dram of tea to a pint of water and allowing to steep as would regular tea, or pour hot water over same and let it stand. This quantity should be taken during a day.

We would also find that an antiphlogistian [Antiphlogistine poultice] over the chest would be helpful, especially along the lower portion of the left lung.

And take a grain of Calcidin each evening for a period of a week, and then oftener if there is not an allaying of the cough and the soreness across the abdominal area.

Use the Radio-Active Appliance for the keeping of an equal circulation. This would be helpful to be left on even for two hours at a time, during this same period.

Unless these conditions are cleared from the system, they may be more serious.

(Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) The liquid and semi-liquid, though strengthening, would be the better. Malted milks, citrus fruit juices, beef juice. Such natures for the next few days, until strength is gained - if it may be responding to those administrations.

HALF TEASPOONFUL OLIVE OIL EVERY HOUR FOR DAY OR MORE. SHOULD NAUSEA TEMPERATURE ARISE REDUCE BY RUBBING SPINE FROM NECK DOWNWARD WITH RUB ALCOHOL. DRINK OUNCE SAFFRON TEA EVERY THREE HOURS. APPLY ANTIPHLOGISTIAN OVER CHEST LOWER LEFT LUNG. TAKE GRAIN CALCIDIN EACH EVENING. RADIO APPLIANCE DAILY. MALTED MILK. FRUIT JUICES. BEEF JUICES.

R3. 5/6/88 JT’s note: Mrs. [295] passed away in her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on November 12, 1987. Her daughter was with her. Mrs. [295] had a dream she shared with her housekeeper saying she was going to die soon and related meeting her mother (and others) who hugged her. The morning of the day she passed away Mrs. [295] told her housekeeper, Lou Gibson, that Lou wouldn’t have to fix supper for her that night. [295] asked her daughter to place a call so she could speak with her second daughter in California. Shortly after this conversation her daughter left the room to fix [295]‘s lunch saying, “I’ll be right back Mother,” to which Mrs. [295] replied calmly, “I won’t be here.” When her daughter returned to the room, Mrs. [295] had died.
Funeral services were held in University Place Christian Church and burial was in Bethany, Oklahoma.
