GD: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
As we find, there has NOT been sufficient of the Appliance applications to materially change the effects in the body. These should be followed more closely, the outlines as to the preparation of the Appliance for its use, as well as the character of massages following same.
-
If these are done consistently, we should see definite changes for betterment of the body by the time there has been the second or third recharging of the Appliance.
-
Do not allow pessimistic remarks to keep the body from receiving all those things suggested.
-
Do that - prayerfully, consistently - we WILL find help.
-
If there is the giving up - well, you needn’t to expect results.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) If I follow instructions religiously, could it be at all possible for me to start school in September instead of February? (A) February, as we find, will be possible - better than undertaking to do it in September. But do it as given. Do not get the idea that if it is suggested for an hour that two hours would make it better - it’ll make it worse! DO it as indicated.
-
(Q) I am getting a new back brace that will hold me much straighter. Will that be helpful? (A) Not necessarily; it will be better for some activities, but this will tend to prevent the complete rubs having their full effect.
-
(Q) I shall, of course, have no manuals done in the future, but have these that have been done been detrimental? (A) This depends upon what use they are put to! Of course, the suggestions made here are taking the body where and how it is in the present.
Do those things outlined, AS outlined. Be consistent, be prayerful, if you would get results.
-
(Q) Will the adjustments be gradual, or will I notice immediate results? (A) Read what has just been indicated. At first it will appear that they are detrimental. Then, as the massages and adjustments are made, by the changes of the circulation, changes will be gradually made for the better.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/14/43 [2968]‘s letter to EC: ”…I can see that we hurried the last Reading a bit. I want to ask your advice. Do you think a Reading about the middle of August would be too soon? I shall have had the second recharging of the appliance and perhaps the third.
“I’ve been following your instructions faithfully. I have to rub myself because my mother works and has no time. Considering my inexperience, I think I’ve managed it pretty well. My circulation is really much improved. My leg used to be discolored all the time, and for weeks now it has not been. I’ve used a great deal of peanut oil - lots of points, I can assure you.
“I have implicit faith in your instructions. Neither Mother nor I have any doubt or shadow of doubt that you will help me. We are expectant and hopeful, if that helps.
“Thank you again for all you have done for me and others.
“If you think August is all right for the Reading, will you please write me, so we can have an appointment made…”
R2. 7/22/43 EC’s letter to [2968]: ”…I thank you very much for yours of the fourteenth. I think I would keep up the treatments until about between the first and middle of Sept. before I would have a check-up again. Of course, we are glad to make this at any time you wish it, for our whole purpose is to try to help and of course, in being on the ground we sometimes may be prone to put it off when we should be a little quicker about it. I am glad to know that you are feeling better. I feel that you will really improve. You are going to have periods, of course, when apparently, there isn’t any change, then you will have times when you will feel a little better, but you just keep to it and I feel sure you will really get results. Let us hear from you at any time that you feel like writing and know that we are very glad to have your feelings in the matter. Of course, we are busy, but never too busy to try and be of help…”
R3. 8/16/43 [2968]‘s Mother’s letter: ”…Would it be advisable or possible to arrange for a reading for [2968] in the near future?
“Several reasons prompt me to ask.
“We have to move - the landlady wants the house. Finding a house in itself is a problem. And where to look for a place is dependant largely on the outcome of the reading. If it be advised that we contact a doctor in Los Angeles we would have to move closer in. Gas rationing doesn’t permit much extra driving. If I knew just what we are to do, I can plan accordingly.
“I don’t know whether [2968]‘s condition is growing worse or if it so just impatient for some source of help, but her disposition has reached the stage where it is of some concern. Sometimes it seems as if things just can’t go on as they are. It may be pressure on the brain reflexes mentioned in the other reading.
“I don’t know what your charges are. I am enclosing $10.00. Would appreciate an early appointment if possible and will send any difference in price. Is it necessary to take out another membership in order to have another reading or how? Thanking you kindly…”
R4. 8/21/43 EC’s letter to Mother: ”…I have yours of the sixteenth. You know that we will be very glad to try to be of help. I feel especially interested in [2968]‘s condition and I believe there is a chance for this to be much better, though, as you say, it seems to be growing worse. I know how conditions are everywhere and the great demands that are made on you from every angle and especially something like this. Do not hesitate to ask us for the reading, but please do not send any more money. I assure you that we will be of just as much help as if you sent ten times that amount. We do not want to be a drain on anyone.
“I am making the appointment for the afternoon of September 7 from 3:30 to 4:30 EWT. That will be, I think, 12:30 to 1:30 your time. Be sure to give us just where you will be at that hour and also make a list of questions.
“Thanking you and I do hope that we may be of a real help, I am…”
R5. 8/27/43 Letter from [2968] to EC: ”…I think my mother’s letter must have been a bit confused. I am in no respect worse. As I told you, my circulation is normal, a condition the doctors have been unable to induce in the years. For that I am very grateful and expectant of even more improvement. I know you can help me - I knew it even before you had helped me…”
- Is it possible - will I be completely normal? (This is more important than you can know at this time.)
- May I begin taking treatments now - adjustments of some sort from a competent trained person - whatever you recommend?
- If as you said I am well enough to go to school in Feb., does that mean I shall be entirely well?
