Born February 8, 1926, in Rahway, New Jersey. Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2969].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records here, these form many patterns. And here is an entity who may make a real success of her experience in the earth or be miserable most of this sojourn.

4. The entity is one gifted with the ability to be a real leader, yet there are many conditions to be considered.

5. One whose personality must be directed by the individuality of the entity. Hence the spirituality, the first causes, the principles that would direct or be the impelling influence, must be in the right direction.

6. And yet the entity is one who seeks the unusual, desires to have experiences of all kinds. It is interested in things that to others might even be morbid. Things that would be very daring - as: going into a submarine or in an aeroplane or through things that others would shudder at.

7. All of these are well, provided they are used for a purpose and not only as a sham or to impress others.

8. The entity innately feels rather deeply regarding spiritual things, regarding things that would have to do with the unusual; psychic information, things of psychic nature.

9. The entity could itself make a real medium, yet it would not be well to undertake such until there has been a great deal of study and experience, and that through spiritual impressions from the influences the entity entertains deep within itself.

10. The entity then could become either a speaker, a reader, or a writer, if it applied itself in those directions.

11. The activities, then, are to be - in order to bring the better to the entity - not in conformity to what purely astrological influences would indicate.

12. Thus the entity will find within itself warring urges, until it has set itself to analyze its own sincere, deeper wishes within itself.

13. Do study scripture. Do analyze it. Begin with definite portions, as: Exodus 19:5. Then study thoroughly the whole of Exodus 20, then Deuteronomy 30. Then make the pattern of thy life the 23rd Psalm, and then the first ten verses of the first chapter of John. And then the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th of John. And then the 13th of I Corinthians. These should not merely be learned, but used as patterns; not as a show, but as something to be used in the experience with others to become a little more patient, a little more sincere, with self, a little kinder to those less fortunate, a little more of brotherly love to those who are high-minded, who think and act as if they were the patterns of the world.

14. For the spirit of the Christ may abide within the entity, and its love then for children, its love for home, will bring harmony, peace, love, happiness within the experience of the entity.

15. This is not indicating that the entity is to be long-faced or be sad about its choices of activity, but rather be happy, be joyous, be glad! For the Lord will not withhold any good thing from those who love His coming and who prepare for it in the minds and hearts of others.

16. In those manners, then, may the entity find real success, real happiness, even in a cruel world.

17. Yet there is much to be gained in this experience for the entity, if the entity, if it will begin with those directions given.

18. The sojourns in the earth have been quite varied. And as the entity applies self, if the pattern is followed, further instructions might be given as each experience becomes a greater part of the entity’s application in the earth.

19. Before this the entity was among the early settlers in the land of the present nativity, among those called the Friends about what is not Philadelphia.

20. There the entity became a teacher, an instructor to children, yet was ever questioned as to how much was sincere, and how much was for others to see.

21. Thus as has been the injunction, the personality and individuality in this entity should shine, as it were, together, and in spirit.

22. The name then was Martha Vance.

23. Before that the entity was in the Turkish land, as a companion in the harem of a Shah. And there were the comforts, the wild comforts of a good Shah.

24. The entity then became weak in resistance to the material things and yet the loveliest dancer of them all, and a favorite to be put in disfavor.

25. The name then was Pshaen.

26. The entity gained and lost, and gained. Yet the urges to boast, the urges to put on a “front” come from those experiences of the entity.

27. Thus the injunction: get a spiritual basis for the entity’s greater activity.

28. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land when varied groups were given missions to other lands.

29. The entity then was the companion to a leader sent to the Persian land and to the land of Saad.

30. Thus the interest in orientals, the interest in Persian lore, Persian history. The Thousand and One Nights, would be very interesting to the entity, and the emotions of such are parts of the innate warp and woof of the entity’s emotions. These had best be replaced with: AM I MY BROTHER’S KEEPER? Not that these are not parts of character building, but a pattern, a rule, a line must be drawn.

31. The name then was Esb-ean.

32. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and how:

33. As indicated, with the proper preparation, no good thing, no good place may be kept from the attainment of the entity.

34. Then as a writer, as a reader, as an interpreter of verse or song, and in the home, the entity may excel.

35. Ready for questions.

36. (Q) What were the past associations with the present mother, what are the urges and how may they be best used in the present? (A) In the Egyptian experiences, when the positions were much reversed. Thus often the questioning as to who shall be boss.

37. (Q) How may I best prepare myself for this work? (A) As indicated, through the study of the sources from which all knowledge flows.

The life reading was also requested by mother. At the time I had entered my first year of chiropractic training.

“There is an entity who may make a real success of her experience in the earth or be miserable most of this sojourn.” I feel that I have been very successful, and have been every place that I wished to go, done the things I wanted most to do, and am now very happily married.

“The entity is one who seeks the unusual, desires to have experiences of all kinds.” I don’t know that I like things just because others are afraid of them, but I have had a variety of experiences in all parts of the world which I attribute more to curiosity than anything else.

“The entity could make a real medium.” I have sat several years in development classes and seem to have a natural ability, though I think my gifts may be more used for healing. I met my husband at a seance.

The scripture verses were named, I feel that I have an understanding of, and that they are applicable.

In regard to the past lives named here; Quaker schoolteacher in the Revolutionary period. Teaching is something I rather enjoy, and my father thought that I should take that up as a career. We have some very close Quaker friends and have always felt a kinship to their beliefs.

A Persian harem dancer; I have studied dancing on and off and would gladly forego a meal in order to go dancing. Unfortunately, my husband does not care to dance, but I danced a great deal before I was married, so am content.

A life in Egypt. I have been a keen student of archaeology, and that was one of my purposes for a year’s trip to the Middle East and Orient.

1. What jobs have you held since your reading? (In chronological order) I was 17 at the time of the reading (one was a life reading & one was physical). I graduated as a chiropractor & been in practice ever since, though only part time now as I am married & have 2 children -

2. Have you ever spoken with Edgar Cayce? (Yes) (No) How well, if so, did you know him? No.

3. Do you feel that Edgar Cayce’s source of information depicted you accurately? Life reading may have - The physical reading was very general & did not foresee the ailment that developed a few years later.

4. At the time of the reading, did you have confidence in his counseling? (Yes) (No) Yes.

5. Do you feel that the reading helped you? How? Not particularly - other than being interesting. It did not open any strange doors or change my life -

6. As you look back, do you see patterns that were shown in the readings that you didn’t see before? Please explain. I am not aware of any.

7. Do you think that your life could have been made better by following the advice more closely? The advice was quite minimal & general & did not differ from what I was already doing -
