Christian (?)) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [302].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [302], in the office of [900] & [137] Brothers …, New York City, with her business and social relations - especially her association with [S.A.]. You will give this body that information which will give a full understanding of all these relations and what may be expected as an outcome of same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [302]. This we have had here before.

3. Now, in considering the business and the social relations and the outcome of same, there are many different ways and manners that these conditions may be judged, dependent upon the standard one would set; as to whether same would be considered from a financial and social success without respect to law, order, individual, or the manner or means as would be employed in taking or making the success as one would aspire to.

4. As has been given for this body, this entity, the mental abilities of the entity are above the normal.

5. As has been given, as has been shown by the experiences, the entity may wield circumstances, conditions, influence, over the minds, the bodies, of individuals - men, women, places, positions, conditions - to carry out that desired in the heart and mind of the body.

6. The warning has been given as to the manner, the way, the criterion the entity should set before self for the development of self through this experience in the material world.

7. May the body - the mental consciousness of the entity - be again warned as concerning the manner in which this influence, this power that may be wielded by the entity, is applied in the lives, the actions, of others?

8. As to the abilities respecting the business associations of the entity, the body in its present surroundings is in that sphere where it may accomplish that it aspires to. Only be sure that that aspired does not become bitter in the mouth and belly; for while fame, position, wealth and power, may wield that satisfaction that in the pursuit of same may be felt is beyond measure that desired; yet this body may attain to this position - to that power in money, in social, in business - and attain same in the PROPER way and manner, and same bring joy, peace, satisfaction of a life well spent. It may be attained by the body in a manner that will bring regret, bitterness and discontent, contempt of self, and lack of faith, hope, confidence, in any.

9. Then be SURE that that upon which the entity builds is in the proper direction.

10. As is seen in the social relations, and the marital relations - in the entity’s own mind, heart, soul, this is desired, and may be attained through those channels the entity has set for self to attain same through, if the entity, the body, the mind, the soul, the SPIRIT of the entity, will be willing to pay the price that this brings upon self. That may be ONLY answered in self and self’s understanding of conventions or of moral codes as are INDISPUTABLY set before self in these relations; for the abilities, the powers, the appearance, the WHOLE being, is capable of meeting every obstacle toward bringing an individual, a whole company, a whole being, under the subjugation of self! Do not use nor abuse the power that is within thine own grasp. [See 302-10, Par. 20-A.]

11. As to the outcome, then, of the business, the social, the financial, the POWER, the POSITION - the entity may claim, possess, have in its own keeping that power, that money, that position, that few may attain. As to whether this shall be used so as to bring CONDEMNATION in self, or be used to the glorification of that force, power, from which all power EMANATES - this is within the ABILITY of the entity; for each entity is a portion of the great whole in the power of creation. As to what the individual uses or abuses is within self’s own hands. Ready for questions. [After pause] We are through with this reading.

I just would like to know my standing there, and how the future outlook is if it’s possible to find out. He is home now [from his trip abroad] and is as he was ere he left - no change in his manner or actions.”
