Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Mich.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have the body, [3181].

3. As we find, there are disturbances that prevent normal reflexes in this body.

4. Suppressions - as we find are the sources, basis of the conditions.

5. These are of such a nature as to cause an undulating condition in the normalcy, and in the opposites in the reflexes in the mind. We find that these are from pressures that have existed in times back, and then the aggravations produced in the mental environ of the body, caused these to assume such proportions as to become detrimental to the whole activity of the body; in fact, at times making for such conditions that one might easily fear for the entire sanity of the body.

6. Some of the administrations have helped, where the attendant conditions of blocking the mental conditions of body have been attempted to be bridged by chemical reactions, through those areas of the system where connections are close in activity of the body, as well as the mind and the impulses for activity in same.

7. But, if these principles are administered, we may find corrections and the abilities of the body to so recuperate as to carry on, even without the consciousness to the body of the character of things administered for the conditions.

8. As we find, then, the combined influence for the betterment of this body would be:

9. First we would begin with osteopathic corrections of the segments that show pressures in coccyx and lumbar areas. These should be made twice each week.

10. Once each day for thirty minutes (but do not begin this until after at least three of the osteopathic corrections have been made), we would use the Wet cell Appliance, carrying gold to the system vibratorially, in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold Sodium to each ounce of distilled water.

11. Make the charge double strength; that is; to the gallon and a half of distilled water, put - in the order named:

Copper Sulphate…3 lbs., Sulfuric Acid, C.P…2 ounces, Zinc…6 drams, Willow Charcoal…1/2 lb.

12. The attachments should be made as follows:

The large plate, through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially should be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, which - on this body - would be four fingers from the navel center to the right and two fingers up from that point. The small copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal.

14. These as we find consistently administered the body may be able to return to its usefulness as a constructor of writings.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) Is his present environment satisfactory? (A) Not satisfactory to the body, but if there are the abilities to get the cooperation for making the suggested treatments, keep him there for the time being. But do have the osteopathic adjustments made.

17. (Q) Is his condition the result of frustration with respect to the solution of personal problems? (A) This only accentuated it. As indicated, these conditions arise from pressures upon the connecting chords between cerebrospinal and sympathetic system; especially in the coccyx area. The conditions affecting the sympathetics (personal problems) caused frustrations. The tendency towards the loss of the use of return impulses in the nerve system, or a short circuit between impulses and personal activity. Hence hallucinations.

18. (Q) Should present treatments be discontinued? (A) We find that these should be discontinued if you would give these suggested here to bring better conditions.

19. (Q) What persons could be of most help to him at present? (A) Anyone who may make the applications in those ways indicated.

20. (Q) Should an attempt be made to re-awaken his interest in literary writing or should a new start be advised? (A) As indicated, this should or would be the natural consequence as the body has been given to composition.

Do these things and we will make better conditions for this body.

R1. 9/2/43 Sister’s letter thanking EC and asking him to recommend a good osteopath:

I feel it will mean so much if I can locate the right doctor. He could also help me with respect to the use of the appliance. My brother would cooperate more readily with the doctor - I think. He has had many sad experiences in Sanitariums, the worst one being an experience with metrazol which left him with a badly mangled arm so he is always frightened and upset over the idea of more treatments. A good doctor would help a great deal I’m sure.

I spent Saturday afternoon in prayer & meditation and felt certain you were discovering truths that would help us.

I shall keep praying over this and may also write Mrs. Bro with regard to a doctor. The way will surely open for us.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Your letter of Sept. 7 has just been received. I am so grateful to you for the help and information. Dr. Sigurd Sampson at 6200 Cottage Grove (?) would be near me and I expect to go and see him tomorrow morning and see if we can make some plans for my brother’s treatments. I can then order the cell you advised for us.

R3. 11/29/43 Sister’s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Today we have begun the treatments which your August reading indicated for my brother, [3181]. I have arranged to have my father and brother in Chicago near me for the winter - months and we are following the reading with Dr. Sigurd Sampson to whom you referred. He is a very good doctor we think and much interested in your work and also in trying to help my brother. I suppose after a few months of treatment he should arrange for a check reading.

I have ordered the wet cell but have not yet received it but you indicated osteopath treatments first so I judge the cell will arrive by the time we are ready for it.

I have been hearing excellent reports of your work thru Mrs. Bro and hope the extra flood of mail will not completely overtax your strength.

R4. 3/14/44 Sister’s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce -

Regarding my brother, [3181], for whom you read in August I should like to arrange for a check reading some time in April or May if possible. He is using the wet cell battery & has had the indicated osteopathic treatments.

He was with me for a time but is again with my father at …, Michigan. I feel he has made some progress altho it has been slight. I am sure there is work for him to do in this life & pray always for his recovery. What are the charge for the check reading so that I may send the amount.
