This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3242], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. N.Y.C.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [3242].

3. As we find, many changes have come about. The congestion through the organs of the pelvis is proving very aggravating, and a portion of the discharge there comes from inflammation, aggravation - or causes such.

4. Twice a week, regularly, we would use Glyco-Thymoline douches; body-temperature water, half water and half commercial strength Glyco-Thymoline.

5. Once a week we would use an Atomidine douche, with a teaspoonful of Atomidine in a quart of body-temperature water. Use only a Fountain Syringe.

6. Occasionally, once a week or the like, have a massage osteopathically administered.

7. Do these and we will make better conditions.

9. (Q) What has caused the passing of small amount of blood from vagina? (A) This, as indicated, has been because of congestion - from the use of astringents that have not been well for the body.

10. (Q) What is condition of urethra? (A) As just indicated, there is inflammation.

11. (Q) What has caused the nasal catarrhal condition, with severe sinus headaches occasionally? (A) This is from the poor circulation. Thus massage, as indicated, that should be for the whole body and especially in the areas of the upper dorsals and cervicals, and in that area from the 9th dorsal to end of the spine. Take these treatments once a week for five to six weeks, then leave off a week or so, and then commence all over again.

Use an inhalant to purify the sinus and the antrum and clarify these conditions, so that the activity of the massage may be effective in removing strain on the general nervous system.

In a 6 ounce container or bottle, either having a double vent or a screw cap so that the fumes may be inhaled from the bottle, add - in the order named:

Grain Alcohol…4 ounces, Oil of Eucalyptus…20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…20 minims.

Shake the solution, remove the cork or the double vent stoppers, and inhale the fumes deep into the nostril, especially early of mornings and in the evenings.

Dear Mr. Cayce -

Have put off writing you for some time, thinking my condition would improve, but it hasn’t - so I should like another reading. Our little book which tells about successive readings - the price etc., - has been misplaced so I’m not sure about that. However I need a reading - badly. This vaginal discharge is more profuse & the suffering intense at such times. I’ve followed the directions from my check reading to the letter - with the exception of missing two osteopathic massages recently. My Osteopath has been on vacation. Would like the name of another Osteopath in Manhattan - who cooperates with you, if you please. And of course I know you’ll give me as early a date (for another check reading) as you can.

Will send a check as soon as I hear from you. Am most grateful for your services.

Dear Mr. Cayce -

I have a favor to ask of you & how many who write you haven’t. My mother [3242] has been following your prescription for some time in fact has a check reading coming up in May.

On good authority I learn that all is not so well, that she is enduring a considerable amount of suffering which possibly an earlier check reading might allay. That’s my request. Can it, the reading, be moved up without seriously affecting other patients?

I know however you answer this that your decision will be fair & just. Please give it what consideration you can. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Cayce -

It’s been two months since receiving a notice from Miss Davis that you had been ill. I was very sorry to hear that, but glad that you were at that time able to carry on with your readings. My not writing before now doesn’t mean that I have been unconcerned re. your well being. I have been concerned and am, but my own health, or lack of it, has limited my own activities considerably.

I know Miss Davis said she was taking over the office work, however I’m addressing this letter to you since part of it was personal - to you - you may pass it on to Miss D - from here on.

My check reading date - (the 2nd ck. rdg.) has been set for May 22, 1945. If it’s at all possible, I do hope you can give me an earlier date. I have followed instructions precisely since my first reading, in Sept. 1943 - up until a couple or so months ago when I was no longer able to make the trip to my Osteopath. During this past summer I’ve been much worse than before my first reading, that’s why I’m asking you, IF IT’S POSSIBLE, try and give me an earlier date. In spite of my condition, I have faith in your readings. I have gone thru considerable emotional distress because of the war, (as I’m sure you have) - but I think I have myself much better in hand now, and feel that a reading would be more helpful than before.

I’m deeply grateful for all you’ve done on my behalf, regardless of the results, and I pray God to keep you on this plane for many many years to come, that you may continue your “good works.” I do hope your health is A-1 now. All good wishes and God bless you.

Dear Miss Davis -

Learned of Mr. Cayce’s passing only about a week ago, and I wish to extend to you and all who have been so closely associated with him for so many years my deepest sympathy.

Miss Davis, I really don’t know in just what capacity you have been working for the Assn. of R. & E., but will you kindly do me a favor. I assure you, it’s most important. I have been quite ill for months and am getting no better. My 2nd check reading was for May. What I would like would be the name of a MEDICAL doctor in N.Y.C. (Manhattan) that has co-operated with Mr. Cayce, (someone other THAN Dr. Reilly) also the name of an Osteopath also. Will you please look this up for me & send me AT ONCE. It’s imperative that I see an M.D. at once. I’m enclosing a self addressed-stamped env. Many many thanks.
