This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of July, 1927, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [257].

Time of Reading 12:30 Noon Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of Mrs. [325], …, New York City, and you will answer the questions, as I ask them, regarding the physical, the mental and the financial condition of this body.

2. EC: We have the body here. This we have had before. There are many changes in the physical forces, in the mental forces of the body, from that as we have had here before. The most of these are for the betterment of the conditions. However, not ALL as has been given for the best physical conditions has been carried out. Not wholly have the suggestions for the manipulations been carried out properly. Hence we find there are portions of the physical forces of the body that show the lack of proper coordination throughout the eliminating system.

3. Now, we find these conditions are existent as regarding the physical body. There are certain taxations for the physical body of which and through which it may apply itself in such a way and manner that, when it becomes necessary for the changes as are to come about with the existence in the earth plane [menopause, when her trouble started?], there are certain portions of the system that should be able to rebuild properly - but by over-taxation, or by improper application of the forces of the body, there are brought about those detrimental conditions which are only as an excess, or an ash, as it were, of the physical life body being spent and not eliminated from the system.

4. In this particular body here we find, as there has often been given, the body has over-taxed itself physically. Burned up - used up - its vitality in such a way and manner that the ash, or the excess, or the eliminations were not set properly within the system. This manner, this nature of the conditions, is that that should be set aright by the manipulations osteopathically; for through this mode there is seem more of the tissue, muscle, bone structure, and all portions of the body are given their proper exercise to bring about the more normal eliminations; and to do so there must be kept the proper coordination between the various portions of the system by the change in the manipulations as conditions advance.

5. Do this. Follow those suggestions given properly. Keep the manipulations in such a way and manner as the portions of body are not to run to excess in any ONE part, but that the eliminations through the hepatic circulation, the capillary circulation, the lymphatic circulation, the pulmonaries, all coordinate. Do that, for the better conditions of the body. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) What causes pain in lower extremities, and what can be done to relieve it? (A) Set manipulations correctly, so that the eliminations are through their proper channel and an excess of one is not carried to portions of the body.

7. (Q) How many more osteopathic treatments should the body take? (A) Until it is in proper shape, through the proper manipulation and through the proper elimination. Not how many, until the body is in proper condition. Do not consider from the number. Consider from the condition of the body.

8. (Q) Where can we find a doctor who will do what the reading says? (A) Dayton, Ohio. Paducah, Kentucky. Birmingham, Alabama. New York City. Chicago, Detroit, Washington, Columbus, Norfolk.

9. (Q) What doctor in New York City will give these treatments properly? (A) Armstead, Berger, Kraus, Green, Jones, Smith. [Olmsted? Grace C. Berger, Eugene R. Kraus, Charles S. Green?]

10. (Q) Should Body have X-Ray picture of lower stomach or intestines? (A) As given, this will be of assistance and VERIFY conditions. Use it or leave it - we have given it as being useful.

11. (Q) Should she continue wearing the Radium Pad? Radium X Appliance] (A) That’s what it was given for - to wear. Keep wearing it.

12. (Q) Do the teeth need attention? (A) They do! The second molar on the left side - the lower in the stomach teeth.

13. (Q) Why does the body tire so easily after a little walking? What will relieve this? (A) We have given those conditions as concerning the physical forces of this body, and as those are applied in the body it will be SEEN that these are unnecessary. Apply some judgement with that we have given, for we are through for the present.

R1. 9/3/27 “I am feeling better but still suffer with pains in my limbs. I am just worn out.

“[558] and her baby [1145] just left for home. She has a darling son. Daughter [459] and [4159] have bought a country home in …, N.J. He has a nice position and at last he is happy. You see, Judge, I had to come to New York to place them all and work it has been. Daughter [460] followed her reading. Everybody else is fine. Son [257] has been away over the weekend. Poor boy, he works so hard. We think and speak of you often.”

R2. 12/13/27 Son [257]‘s letter: “Please give mother’s Life Reading with the following questions. Give dates and months for body to act on. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, May 23, 1872. She is 55 yrs. old. In suggestion ask that she be advised how to live long and healthful. Also advise as to selling and reinvesting her estate. How can body regain her health, mental and physical. What medicine if any should she take. What exercise? Diet? How can she sell her home at …, Kentucky? Best by auction or private sale? How to proceed? How much will she receive for it? In what should it be reinvested? Should she go to Kentucky and when? What is best investment in New York for her for very exceptional returns in 1928?”

R3. 12/14/27 Mrs. [325]‘s letter reported on a Life Reading for her daughter [460], saying: “[257] wants me to have a Life Reading. I have decided to wait until your next visit to us, as one gets more out of the reading when you can ask your own questions…

“[4877] went to see the King of Kings, and I said, ‘Well, Judge is just as wonderful in his way.’ I do hope that your fondest hopes will be realized and that you will be accepted as one of the King of Kings in the very near future…

“We are all feeling just fine.”

R4. 4/3/28 Son [257] wrote that Mrs. [325] had decided to sell Ky. home at auction.

R5. 5/1/28 She wrote saying she was sorry Mr. Cayce had been ill and that she would request a reading for daughter [563] as soon as he was better. She ended the letter by saying, “I am not so strong.”

R6. 5/10/28 She wrote reporting on her daughter’s reading 563-3.

R7. 5/18/28 “I have been trying all week to answer your letter. Daughter [558]‘s baby [1145] is a regular Indian and keeps us all stepping after him. Son-in-law [1565] is also here, so you see how that I cannot get away. Son [257] gets home tomorrow from a rest in the mountains and then will be on his way to see you. I hope that you are feeling real strong again and ready to go on with your work. I hope the hospital is getting along nicely… Daughter [460] went to summer school all summer. It made it a little hard on me. I try very hard to keep up with your suggestions. It is a hard battle, as my mind will get the better of my body strength, but I am moving. I was ill two days in bed this week. It is so very hot here, but feel better again today. I have such little strength.”

R8. 6/9/28 She reported on reading [125-1] for her sister dying of cancer.

R9. 6/9/28 Her son [257] was in Virginia Beach and obtained a check reading for his mother, being worried about her away from home nursing her sick sister. See 325-19.
