This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 31st day of October, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through her daughter, Miss [460].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis.]
Time of Reading 11:35 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. Conditions, as we find, are considerably on the improve. While these are not as fast as might be desired, we had rather take it slowly and be sure than to try to over stimulate and thus cause irritations to arise again. See?
-
Hence, we would continue with those things that we have indicated, in very small quantities and in the ways and manners that the appetite calls; for the body is a very good dietician itself! and following in these measures will bring the quicker strength to the body.
-
As fast as it may be accomplished, a little ride out in the open air would be most beneficial. But keep these things in moderation; don’t rush the conditions. And we will find we will bring a nearer normal condition for this body, [325].
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes the faint feeling of the body? (A) Weakness and incoordination. Hence, as we find, the more air - or more oxygen - will be the more helpful for the body.
-
(Q) Would you suggest a tonic? (A) We would not make for too great a stimulation. Let the body rather be selective in those things for its own physical welfare in these directions, as to the diet and as to the stimulants, of every nature. We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. GD’s note: At the end of giving reading 325-51 Edgar Cayce said, “We are sorry” when Mrs. Cayce told him “That is all”. Two check-physicals had been given prior to 325-51, for other people, and evidently he was expecting to give another check-physical for somebody else, or he could have been referring to Mrs. [325]‘s condition?
R2. 12/11/34 Son [257]‘s ltr.: “Mother has been very ill again and of course that worries me more than anything, as she must be careful. I will enclose a few questions and hope you will check her up on your return [from Ky. trip to Gertrude’s brother Lynn Evans’ funeral].”
R3. 12/11/34 Mother [325] wrote EC and Gertrude a sympathy letter, saying:
“I am sorry that you did not finish all of your work here [in N.Y.] and that I did not see more of you, but I have been very ill and I am still so. [257] says that he will get a ck. up, but be sure and send it to me. I’ll show it to him, as I want no meddling in of [903]. If you ever send any of my readings to his house, you and I won’t be friends.
“The Bismuth did not do me any good. [GD’s note: EC must have consciously suggested to her to take this, for upset bowels?]
“I know that your work is coming and does lots of good. Keep of good cheer and you will get just where you want to. I hope to see you shortly again, and I hope that I will feel better so that I can see more of you.
“Thanking you for all that you have done for me, I remain as ever,” Fondly, Mother [325]
