This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of September, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self, through her niece, Mrs. [303], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading … Ave., 11:05 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes.

  2. As we find, there are little resistances with the body, and the vitality continues to show ebbing.

  3. The activities that have been indicated, and that have been applied, have relieved some of the disturbance; but there is the lack of vitality in the blood, and there only needs to be the keeping of the body quiet. The nursing, of course, is that necessary; keeping the body a normal temperature, rubbing the limbs and the body occasionally. Well that the rubbing be done with oil. Also there should be the giving of the sedatives, that will be altered if the condition is shown to those in charge of same to be more and more effective.

  4. The codeine would be the better, but this is merely suggestion and should be acted upon only by the physician.

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) Should onion poultice be continued? (A) Only if there is the choking or the filling of the lungs.

  7. (Q) Is Castoria as an eliminant alright? (A) Castoria or the Syrup of Figs, or a combination - that is, an alteration of these as we find would be the more preferable. Each of these, of course, carries the Senna reaction; and these are the better for the body in the present, better than the minerals or those that leave other sediments from their activity upon the mucous membranes of the intestinal system.

  8. (Q) Is she getting sufficient nourishment? (A) All that the body has been able so far to assimilate.

The beef juices, liver pressed or broiled, and such as these would carry much vitality for the body - taken often and very small quantities at the time.

  1. (Q) Is Olive Oil correct for the rubbing? (A) This is very good, as it has just been given.

  2. (Q) Is the circulation improving any? (A) Not a great deal of change, for naturally the sedatives tend to make for a harder condition upon the circulation - though, as we have indicated, these are necessary to keep the body from suffering, or from the pain of the flow between the liver, the heart and the lungs themselves.

  3. (Q) Is the disease from which the body is suffering known as angina pectoris? (A) Not true angina pectoris.

  4. (Q) Should a fever arise, what would be the cause of it? (A) Infection in the blood supply from the lack of eliminations and the poor circulation.

  5. (Q) Any further advice that would be of aid? (A) As we find, keep the body quiet, keep the rubs - for this aids the stimulation to the feet and lower limbs and hands and arms. Keep the body just as quiet as possible.

  6. We are through with this Reading.
