This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3312], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., via Miss [5124].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - as we find, conditions are not good here. Much of these may be aided, but unless there is the change in the approach to healing, what will be the application of same?

3. All healing comes from the divine within, that is creative. Thus, if one would correct physical or mental disturbances, it is necessary to change the attitude and to let the life forces become constructive and not destructive. Hate, malice and jealousy only creates poisons within the minds, souls and bodies of people.

4. Here we find the organs of the sensory system combative with the organs of the central nervous system. Thus we have a form of vibration in the body in which there is ever the need to supply activities from that which will submerge the consciousness, the feelings of the body.

5. Thus the eyes (that suffer much), the hearing, the taste, the feeling, have become almost as just secondary activities in the body - with the body and mind just holding on.

6. Then, - there should be first a purifying of the mind with purposefulness.

7. Then there should be a purifying of the body forces with hydrotherapy, including low electrical treatments.

8. Then we may begin to apply those influences that might be helpful, if the body-mind will hold to something as a redeeming influence in the life.

9. These are necessary if help would come to this body.

10. Do these, and we may give further suggestions for help on the fourth of next July.

Enclosed you will find your Associate Membership card, which entitles you to a year’s membership with the Association.

This membership expires one year from date of your reading. Should you have additional readings within the year, your membership will expire with the date of the first reading. The monthly Bulletin will be sent to you during your year’s membership.

Our Active Membership entitles you to our weekly news letter, which contains extracts from readings, along with the monthly Bulletin, plus our other publications. This membership is 25.00 per year. If appointment for a reading is made within the year, this reading will be an additional 10.00 and $20.00 for each subsequent reading.

My dear Mr. Cayce:-

I sent you $20.00 and a few months ago, (something like October 22nd I believe) you gave me a reading principally for my eyes - I received no satisfaction whatsoever and have written you once since with reference to same with no reply - am still wondering if you will see what you can do about this and if you will give me another reading.

Please let me know about this and if you will try to help me.

My dear Sir:

Yours of the 15th inst at hand gratefully and in reply will say that the date you have given me Saturday 22nd, April 1944 EWT, from 10:30 to 11:30 in the morning will be satisfactory and I shall cooperate to the best of my ability - WILL BE STATIONED AT …, KENTUCKY.

Questions: What causes my eye trouble and what is the remedy? What causes my back of right ear thumping and what is the remedy? What causes my cough and what is the remedy?

My dear Mr. Cayce:-

As I am very much in need of help would like to know if I could impose upon your kindness and generosity to give me a reading as I have bad eyes and a bad continuous thumping in the back of my head and neck on the right side - partly blind in left eye - have not been able to get help to any extent.

Will you please send your charges or will you accept a love offering?

Please let me hear from you and I certainly will appreciate your kindness.

Enclosed please find application for membership in your Association preparatory to a physical reading which I so very much desire. Also please find check for $20.00. As I am having much eye trouble, thumping in the back of my head and neck (right side) and a long continue cough besides other ailments, hope you will be able to locate the cause of my troubles or trouble and also to advise me what remedy or remedies or other methods to apply or use for the best possible results.

Would you kindly give me the date and time of this physical reading so that I may be able to be in harmony with prayer etc.?
