This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3312], associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there are those conditions surrounding the body that are not in keeping with the intent of the body. These are the anxieties.

4. But ready for questions.

5. (Q) What causes my eye trouble and what is the remedy? (A) The poor circulation between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems. We would correct the subluxation in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal center, osteopathically.

We would apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the eyes, so as to relieve the tensions locally, cleansing same when these are removed. Keep them on about once a day for twenty to thirty minutes and then cleanse.

But correct those subluxations. Coordinate the 2nd and 3rd cervical with the corrections, as well as relieve those tensions in the kidney and bladder area. This we would do not merely by the corrections in the lumbar and the lower dorsal areas but by the taking of small doses of Sweet Spirits of Nitre, or preferably the better balance of the nitre as obtained from Watermelon Seed Tea. Put a teaspoonful of crushed, cracked or cut watermelon seed in a cup and fill with boiling water. Let stand for thirty minutes, strain, cool and drink - about three times each week. This will remove those tensions that arise in the kidney and bladder that affect reflexly the conditions existing in the subluxations in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal, that make for the burning sensations in eye. It is not the optic nerve - these are the surrounding conditions.

DON’T let them put the drops in the eye to dilate the pupil itself!

6. (Q) What causes the back of right ear to thump and what is the remedy? (A) This circulation, as indicated, that would be corrected through the corrections osteopathically and the removal of strain upon nervous system through conditions in kidneys and bladder.

7. (Q) What causes the cough and what can be done to relieve this? (A) This is in part sympathetic, and if the corrections are made as given this will be removed.

My dear Mr. Cayce:-

Your report of physical reading (copy of which I enclosed for your reference) have been following per your directions. Chose Dr. LaRue [Charles M. LaRue, D.O.] Osteopathic head specialist who advised removal of tonsils (which I had done & have not as yet fully recovered from same) then extraction of teeth (which I have not done) after which 6 wks. eye treatment. Chose Dr. Renner [Godfrey A. Renner, Ph.T] this city to correct subluxations. Have not shown improvement as yet with the exception of much less pain in eyes due to daily eye packs. What would you suggest, another reading? (please send charges for same) Your sincere opinion greatly appreciated. Many thanks for all favors & may you be greatly blessed. Gratefully your, [3312]

R2. 7/22/44 [3312]‘s letter: …Will give you a report of my illness as you requested to the best of my ability - which is as follows:

I have never been a strong person - but seemingly was quite good till vaccination for smallpox.

Was vaccinated when I was about 10 or 12 years of age - was very ill from same - couple years later was very ill with measles - had whooping cough - later had pneumonia (about the age of 14 or 15) on left side which left me with intercostal neuralgia (which finally left me with treatments) & adhesions which somewhat retards respiration on the left side.

In my early twenties I had Otitis Media which greatly weakened me generally especially my digestive tract - this followed an attack of tonsillitis & some female trouble.

About 18 years ago I had another attack of Otitis Media in my left ear with a relapse in my right ear which relapse started with a thumping back of my right ear, which thumping I have had ever since constantly.

Two years ago this last spring I suddenly became partially blind in my left eye & from then on it has slowly gotten worse suffering with distress & pain in the eyes. I never use my eyes only in an emergency. Must wear dark glasses in connection with my others constantly.

Took much medicine in my youth & early life & some few adjustments in my twenties & thirties. In the last 18 years have taken many many adjustments & physiotherapy treatments.

Have been following your remedies & instructions the best I can but have noticed no improvement with the exception of less pain in my eyes from the use of the hot packs. Some of the doctors have told me I have glaucoma & the beginning of cataracts. Through their advice had a tonsillectomy about 5 weeks ago from which I have not completely recovered. Now they tell me I should have my teeth taken out which I dislike to do unless it will really help me since they give me no trouble.

I hope I have given you the required information & SURELY TRUST YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ME.

Dear Sirs:-

Your letter advising of recent date me of the sad passing of Edgar Cayce received for which I thank you. It goes without saying that I am deeply moved & wish to share the personal sorrow with the thousands who have the same attitude. A character of such importance will be more than missed.

My reading set for Tues. May 8, 1945, 3:30 to 4:30 of course cannot be kept. I had such great hopes I would receive help for my eyes. Since circumstances are the way they are I would appreciate it so much if you could help me with my eyes in any way probably from the detailed readings you have on file or in any other way from your records. Yes I shall be glad for you to keep my contribution to use in any way that might be helpful to suffering humanity.
