This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3339], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Born June 24, 1905, in New York City. Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3339].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records, these we would choose from the great amount of material that might be drawn from the entity’s experiences in the earth. But these we choose with the desire that we may make this to be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity first to analyze self. And knowing self to be itself, with its faults and with its virtues, the entity may draw upon the source of the supply available to all who seek His face.

4. In analyzing the urges latent and manifested, these we find evidenced from the combinations of the experiences in the earth with the latent forces from consciousness in other environs:

5. One with a very pleasing personality. One that constantly talks in large figures, large endeavors; optimistic ever in its speech to others. Thus, if there will be the knowing of self and self’s weaknesses, the entity should indeed study those things that so easily beset and thus avoid the pitfalls of doubt and fear that enter at times when the entity is alone.

6. It is evident, then, that the entity is not good companionship for self, but needs companionship that it may have that upon which to expend its own ego. All the more necessity, then, that this entity have its basic principles in truth, the unchangeable law, to know in what he believes, spiritually, mentally and materially, and the author that present such tenets to be applied in the relationships of the entity with others.

7. Ever should the entity be in those activities, then, acting as personnel manager, or as the contact man or as a build-up man for whatever the endeavors or associations may be.

8. Astrological terms would mean little in this entity’s experience. These are far, far from that ordinarily termed astrological aspects. Yet these are a part of the whole, and are used if and when the entity is conscious of those urges being in the experience, - Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus. All of these are parts of the entity’s consciousness.

9. One inclined oft to desire to collect things. Hence easily does the entity place too great an emphasis upon material things, forgetting that there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Know that such should be used and not abused (as entities oft do, urged by their own ego), - the true meaning of friendship and love.

10. As to manifestations in the earth and those that act as the innate feelings of the entity through the emotions, - we find that the entity can work itself up to a high emotion and can still be as cold as the proverbial cucumber in all its phases.

11. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn. The entity came with a group of individuals from another land. But having caught a vision of what freedom of speech and freedom of worship meant, and having the ability to apply itself, the entity joined with Cosciusko in the aid to a disturbed group of leaders, divided much among themselves.

12. Then in the name Emel Koskuenco, the entity made for the balancing of power through its own personality in the experience of uniting the efforts in more than one group of individuals, even of other lands.

13. Hence the activities of the entity in the present should deal with personnel. And where there are varied groups of different faiths, different environs, the entity may keep a balance - provided self is not put too oft in the forefront. Be purposeful, but know WHY each and every soul manifests in the material life, - to be to the glory of the Creative Force or Energy or God; that His love, - His peace, may abide with men forever.

14. Before that the entity was in the Roman land when there were those expansions in the empire stage of the activities there, when the various groups and lands were brought under subjugation.

15. The entity was among those sent into the various lands to choose the natives capable of becoming representatives of the then established rule in the land.

16. Then in the name Petrov the entity gained. And these abilities as a personnel manager are indicated in the present, and the abilities to analyze the nature of the motivating urges in the lives of other individuals.

17. Thus there is the need more and more that the entity’s own life be prompted by the love of the Creative Forces and not for the love of self or for self’s aggrandizement.

18. Then do not abuse those virtues ye have builded, but do minimize more and more the faults in others and it will purify the faults in self.

19. Before that the entity was in the Grecian land when there were the beginnings of those activities for the care of self when there were the expressions of those tenets presented by the students of old - even those activities in Egypt; wherein the environs of the mothers during the period of gestation might influence their offspring not only as to stature but as to purpose.

20. The entity in that period was the one stressing these in the lives of the peoples of that day, and then a reformer - as would be called according to the expression of the present experience.

21. The entity gained and lost. Gained so long as the activity was of a universal nature, lost when turned to personal reasons. The name then was Ecceor.

22. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were those turmoils and strifes, when the Priest was banished. The entity was among those close to the armor bearer or protector of the Priest banished.

23. With the return, the entity was set in order of the activities of the Priest respecting the preparation for the Temple of Sacrifice.

24. As to the abilities of the entity in the present and that to be applied:

25. First study to know what is thy ideal and then so apply self as to be - within self’s consciousness - an exponent of that ye claim in the inner self, as well as the outer self. Put away those things that cause thee to hoard ideas or things. Don’t become so tended to pinch on others and be extravagant on self. Do learn the way, as ye taught in many experiences, the meaning of the Cross in man’s experience. For as man seeks and expends his energies in seeking for the betterment of others, he may himself become bettered.

27. (Q) Should I make a change in my business? or should I continue in the same, although I at times get quite discouraged? (A) Work towards those things where the entity will be more and more the personnel manager.

28. (Q) How have I been associated in the past with my son, [2963], and how may I best help him in the present? (A) There were crosses to bear in the Egyptian experience, where ye had your own way irrespective of his purposes with thee. In those experiences when ye acted as the judge over other lands, when in the Carpathian land ye misjudged the entity. In the present, then, mete out the fruit, the seed of the spirit; patience, kindness, love.

My Dear Mr. Cayce,

Firstly let me thank you again for your promptness in giving my little boy [2963] his check reading.

Mrs. Kahn, who spent an evening with us last week while Mr. Kahn was in Chicago, has promised to discuss with you a few things that were not too clear in your last reading so I will not bother you with them now.

Mr. Kahn, who just left me, after luncheon and several hours of conversation mostly about you, is without question one of the most remarkable men I have ever met.

Mr. Cayce, I have become so interested in you and in your work, and feel so indebted to you, that I am making a real effort to attend the convention with Mrs. […]. If we can get away, we will bring down the Kahn boys. I do not think it a good idea to bring my little boy [[2963], afflicted child], do you?

I am going to ask you, at your first opportunity to give me a life reading. I am herewith enclosing my check. I have often wondered if I should make a change in my business and sometimes get quite discouraged. And I feel that my little boy’s welfare [See 2963-1] is so closely tied up to mine, that I am following your suggestion in your letter of April 22 as to a life reading.

Would you please note, I should like it mailed to my office, and if there is any further information you would like and if it is necessary for me to be alone at the time of the reading, please advise me.

I can well imagine how tied up you will be during the convention, otherwise I would have asked you for this reading at that time.
