EC: Yes, we have the body here, [340]; this we have had before.

Now, as we find, there are those returnings of the condition which has disturbed the body before; inflammation of the muco-membranes of the duodenum, extending into the caecum and colon.

These inflammations have been produced by congestion, lack of the proper elements for the activity of the system, becoming over-acid and producing irritation.

This makes for (in the glands of the lacteals) the continued reactions that make for cramps, and the lack of digestion.

In meeting the condition in the present, it would be well to use that which will allay the gastric disturbance, aiding in digestion and keeping to the diet that will produce the least amount of irritation for the body.

We would use in the present the Alcaroid; and the high enemas to cleanse the colon, using in the last waters a combination of Glyco-Thymoline with Milk of Bismuth. This will allay the condition.

In the high enema the quantity of Glyco-Thymoline to a quart of water (the last rinsing water, see?) would be twenty minims, and a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth.

The diet would be preferably predigested foods and milk; no coffee or tea, but cereal drinks.

It would be well that occasionally there be kept the olive oil, that does not irritate.

Occasionally, also, add a little Glyco in the water drunk.

For the time being it would be well that all other water taken carry the elm OR saffron, for this will reduce the irritation.

(Q) How often should the high enemas be taken? (A) We would take at least three, one every other day; then they may be made farther apart.

(Q) Is egg malted milk good or a detriment to this body? (A) Egg in milk if the white is taken in same produces acid; if only the yolk is taken it is good.

(Q) Should the psyllium once a day be continued? (A) Not until after we have changed the activities of the system.

(Q) What causes excess gas, and how may it be eliminated? (A) Haven’t we just been explaining these conditions to you? Inflammation of the muco-membranes of the duodenum and intestinal system!

(Q) Would you advise the use of the Epsom Salts or Castor Oil packs? (A) We haven’t advised it yet; we wouldn’t under the present conditions.

(Q) Would you advise the body to stay in bed and off the feet? (A) Until after at least the last enema is given, or last of the three.
