1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe, and universal forces - that are latent and manifested in the personalities of the entity now known as [342].

2. In entering, we find the astrological influences that are innate (or the inhibitions of the entity) and and those from the appearances, or experiences through the earth, have those been somewhat opposed one to another.

3. Hence there would be, only from an astrological aspect, some very varying presentations; yet their influence being inhibitions - and the entity’s development rather of the intuitive influences, a great deal must be considered for the information given to be of a value to the entity in the present experience.

4. Coming in the present experience, then, from those influences in the combination of Jupiter and Uranus, there are rather the exceptional abilities for the entity to retain in self that which may be called knowledge, or learning; or that

which may be termed the ability to correlate experiences of others in such a manner as to make them valuable to self. Not that the entity would be termed one easily influenced by group or mass thought, yet the entity - being not too credulous, not too incredulous - has the ability, through its intuitive influence that may be exercised (from Uranus), to weigh or judge well as to how a matter is presented as to its value in practical application in the experience of a body.

5. Hence the entity may be termed, from this experience, as an individual who would be a good organizer in any field of endeavor; and, as we find, one that would make exceptional progress in the present experience in the field that is known as industrial or commercial - or cooperative - insurance; though the entity’s efforts to the present have been little in this field of activity, yet this - as we find - would offer a field that would make for the opportunity for the abilities to be used that have been innately builded in the entity’s inner self, with the possibilities of making for self - in the present experience - a place that may be an enviable one in this field of endeavor.

6. Also from Venus’ influence we find the entity is one that, in the acts of everyday affairs, is considerate of others; one with a high sense of honor, of justice, of those feelings that may be experienced by others with whom the entity may have personal or group experience.

7. Hence the entity is one capable of making friendships easily, yet choosing from same those who may be - in the mental and material fields - of the greatest advantage; though not advantageous to the entity’s activities; for, with the sense of honor, with the thought of others, the entity is not inclined to take advantage of another, whether in social, in moral, or in commercial relations one with another, and at times has been called an individual not hardboiled enough for his own good; yet if the efforts and activities - as we find - are expended in the right direction, this characteristic, this ability to express the personality, the enthusiasm that the entity is able to work itself up to on any proposition - either mental, spiritual or material (if convinced of the sincerity, the plausibility and possibilities), may be expanded upon by the entity in such a manner as to produce enthusiasm in the efforts of those with whom the entity may surround self in any endeavor.

8. The entity, from the COMBINATION of these astrological influences, is one that is a very good judge of human nature; being naturally - from Uranian, Jupiterian AND Venus’ influence - an analyst in every act; and judging from those activities the entity may gain in this experience, though he has lost - as will be seen - in many an earth experience.

9. From these astrological influences that affect the body in the present, we find these as both individual and personal aspects of the entity:

10. One that is a student in any field in which the entity finds an innate or mental interest; and these turned toward those of the mental body, as well as commercial influences.

11. One that remembers dates, periods and activities, through associations of those things that deal with the response individuals make to some proposition, some term or turn, some experience, in their own life.

12. In this also we find one that is capable of directing groups. One not so much as the leader of mob force or influence, but as an executive influence in correlating the MENTAL activities of groups.

13. One that finds some little details that become as hobbies to the entity, in gathering about self things that to others have - and to self has - little commercial value, yet a great deal of sentiment attached to those things that the entity holds or keeps rather as hobbies in the entity’s experience for diversion in the varied fields of activity.

14. As to the appearances, then, and their effect upon the entity in the present experience, in drawing a comparison for an entity, here we find a condition that may be well to give as an explanation for the entity’s own application; while it would not be always wholly applicable in the experience of others that are balanced in an opposite manner, or a variation, from that which has been indicated for the entity:

While there are those karmic influences that must be met, because of that which has been builded by an entity (that retains, maintains, kinship with the Creative influences), it must of itself meet that which is the measure according to the law as related to universal forces. Or, to put it in another manner:

16. It is not all for an entity, or a soul, to have knowledge concerning law; whether karmic law, spiritual law, penal law, social law, or what not. The CONDITION is, what does the entity DO ABOUT the knowledge that is gained! Is the knowledge used to evade cause and effect, or is it used to coerce individuals into adhering to the thoughts of self? or is it used to AID others in THEIR understanding OF the law, and THUS bring the cause to that position where the WILL of the Creative influence is supreme; or the power that comes with making the will one WITH the law of love, of karma, of cause and effect, of every influence - one WITH Creation!

17. Hence the conditions that will be seen in the experiences of the entity now known as [342] in the earth’s plane:

18. In the one before this we find the entity was in and about that place, or plain, known as Fort Dearborn, during those periods when there was the establishing of the relationships with the peoples of the north country and the peoples of the eastern and southern country.

19. The entity then was among the peoples of the north country that were sent as emissaries, or to deal with the situations in the trading of that the peoples of the north country had to offer in exchange for those things made, created or imported into the land from other countries. Hence, not as a trader but as a mediator FOR the traders in their various capacities did the entity, then as Pericho, gain and lose in this experience. For, seeing how there might be brought about the taking of all that was then in possession of the post, for those peoples of the much larger powers in numbers, the entity then urged rather that there be the possessing of same without the formality of returning an exchange for same of equal value, and the entity lost. Yet, with the hardships that came about, with the losing of control over those the entity would in the experience direct, the entity learned a lesson, in bodily suffering as well as in the CONDEMNING of SELF for the position taken.

20. And each soul may find that self-condemnation becomes, after all, the hell in which it finds itself in the transition periods.

21. Hence in the present experience the entity finds much of the commercial field being of interest, especially that as in relationships to the tradings between groups, masses and individuals; yet the field that offers an assurance and a security for individuals or groups may be made the more satisfactory to the entity in the present experience. [See 342-1, Par. 27-A on 1/24/33 indicating he was in the Royalist Army during the American Revolution.]

22. In the one before this we find the entity was in that period when there were the gatherings of the peoples to enter into the holy wars.

23. The entity then was among the Crusaders that, with Bruce and others, started for the Holy Land.

24. Then the entity was a zealot for those of the few that would impel all to come under one rule of order, if not by persuasion then by coercion, and the entity gained and lost through this experience; for, entering into the lands about the Holy Land, being among those of the prisoners that were turned to those that were - to the entity in the beginning - as heathen, these became through their acts of kindness - such that the entity was rather inclined to be of a different mind, and became a zealot in THIS direction. Hence the entity was termed by many as a turncoat, or as one that rebelled for self’s own interests; yet the entity gained in the latter portion, feeling and knowing - through the experience of that period - that TRULY all force, all power of a spiritual or mental nature, emanates from a ONE source.

25. Hence in the present there is seen that much thought is given to the spiritual side of life.

26. Hence in fields of activity in which the home or the associations, or the business relations, may be ASSURED to peoples - for not only the material, but for the mental aptitudes and welfare OF groups, may the entity find a channel through which it may gain the greater self-development in the present experience.

27. Then the entity was in the name Charleon, and was of a northern and a southern France connection in that period.

28. In the one before this we find the entity was in that land now known as the Persian, among those peoples that had gathered in the hill and plain country for the teachings that were being given by a leader in the city that was established there, of tents; later being among the first wood buildings in this particular portion of the land.

29. The entity was among those that made for the gathering of those things that were as foods or provisions for the peoples; hence entering into the trading with the peoples in the various lands, as they brought their wares from the south, from the east, from the north, from the west, for EXCHANGE in this particular region.

30. Through this experience the entity gained most, for - coming under the direct influence of those that had been raised in their activities by the leader in this period (Uhjltd) - the entity, then in the name Phar-Zar, gained; and when the breaking up came by the invasion of the Greeks from the north, the entity was among the first that fell under this raid or insurrection.

31. So, in the present, the entity finds those influences that are seen in sympathy; in maintaining about self those things that have not so much of the commercial value but a great deal of value from what the little things present in the experience of a body.

32. In the one before this we find the entity was in that land now known as the Nubian, during those periods when the priests from Egypt were exiled. The entity came under the direction of the high priest that was banished, and with the return of these peoples to their possessions - or to their own lands, in the building up of that which enabled not only the Egyptian progress, but the Arabian, Indian, Mongolian, Carpathian, and the Carthaginian mountains even - the entity was among those who aided in establishing for these various peoples those things of commercial value, as well as those posts for the ministrations to the physical needs of peoples.

33. Hence in the present is seen the particular interest of the entity in the reports that come from foundations, or from efforts of groups of people in all quarters of the globe. The entity has often wondered in self why such an interest in such data, when so little in common with same; and it would be - and is - one of the best proofs to the entity of these experiences in the earth’s plane (or reincarnation).

34. Then the entity was in the name Hap-Zta.

35. As to the abilities of the entity, that to which it may attain in the present experience - and how:

36. We find, as we have indicated through those relationships builded innately - as personality and individuality of the entity, through the experiences in the earth and through the sojourns in these spheres about the earth, there are the influences builded in the entity making for the assuring of better conditions, better positions, of the peoples in the home. Though there may be the stalking of those things that make people afraid, through those material and spiritual influences that may be builded in the hearts of the young and the old, in THESE things may the entity build in the present that which will make for not only the MATERIAL development, but the mental and soul development also.

38. (Q) What did I come here to do? (A) To overcome all those things you’ve undone!

39. (Q) Should I continue to use the initial S in my signature? [As advised by numerologist Ed Hall? formerly known as Victor George] (A) W would be better than S. If preferable (and such conditions - there are some reasons why this should be retained), we would continue to use the S. W would have been better, had it been chosen.

40. (Q) What can I do that I can best succeed in, at the same time render the best service to humanity? (A) That pertaining to cooperative or industrial insurance.

R1. 6/16/33 “Thanks very much for the rdg. Since receiving it I have studied it over several times but I do not believe I have been able to grasp the full import of it.

“The field suggested for my endeavors is somewhat of a surprise. I had not thought of work of that kind.

“I note the work suggestion is for industrial or commercial or cooperative insurance. These terms are broad and I am not sure I understand just what is meant. I wonder if this could be more clearly stated in particular, also the capacity to start.

“There are so many types of insurance - Life, Fire - Accident. Group insurance (Life) might be termed cooperative. Then, too, there is insurance of partners or executives in business. There are also policies for endowments, annuities, etc. I am interested; if I can get this pinned down to the type suggested I want to investigate its possibilities.

“It is true that I like to organize - seems to be instinctive with me. I seem to sense the method to be applied. Moreover the rdg. is correct that as an executive I rather correlate the mental activities of the group rather than act as a leader in mob fashion.

“Your rdg. in regard to my inner moral feelings is correct, as well as the comment about human nature.

“In fact the rdg. so far as my present life is concerned is remarkable to a high degree. I certainly must compliment you on the whole delineation.

“There is one matter about my immediate past life I cannot quite reconcile with the previous rdg. statement dated 1/24/33 which read […342-1, Par. 27-A] [“quartermaster division of the army, but not the continental - rather the royalist”]. In this one I was acting for traders in the capacity of a mediator [Ft. Dearborn]. I do not get the connection between the two, nor can I judge whether I was a foreigner on this soil and a native of some European country, etc. Can this be explained?

“While I have not made any money since I wrote you, I have discovered some money I didn’t know I possessed. Sounds funny but true - all in a lapsed insurance policy. Therefore I am happy to enclose my ck. for $10. I want you to know I certainly appreciate your going ahead with the rdg. as you did.

“Now I am interested in a Physical or health Rdg. Will you make one for me - at the same time these other further questions mentioned herein could, I presume, be taken up. I shall of course pay for the Physical Rdg. upon receipt if I am so fixed to do so or later.

“In this connection there is a boy next door I believe you might be able to help with a Physical Rdg… [See 367-1.] …If you could give this boy a rdg. now on my request I prefer to have you do this instead of my own Physical or health Rdg. I’ll pay for his and get my own later.”

R2. 6/21/33 EC’s letter:

“I was very glad to have yours of the 16th. I don’t know whether I can add anything, in trying to explain this special phase of the Work, or if I can make the final suggestion as to just what department the reading suggested for industrial insurance. My opinion is that this is one of the two fields, either industrial life insurance (which may be included in the sick and accident benefits) or cooperative insurance (which deals directly with rather the field of fire insurance). I don’t know how to classify this for you, but I’m sure if your interest in such directions is true you will be able to ferret out and find just which one of those appeals to you most. I’m merely using these two as illustrations of what I’m trying to say, as I happen to know both fields of this activity from personal associations in the past. No doubt you know of the Life and Accident Insurance Company in Nashville, Tennessee, and have heard the radio programs of WSM. Then there is the cooperative insurance known as the Cooperative Group, that C. P. Jesse of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has formed in many portions of the country; which appeals mostly to the farmers, homesteads and the like. As I understand, these would be the better fields of activity. As you suggest in your letter, I know this is entirely out of the activities in which you have been engaged, but I believe that the suggestions for you as field manager in either of these activities would prove not only satisfactory but quite remunerative in the returns. If neither of these appeal to you, then the best way to find out would be to ask the question in another reading - which we will be glad to do.

As I understand from the appearance just before this, you were there at the time when there was the attempt to arouse the natives (or Indians) of the northwest by the French against the Americans that you were of the royalists (that is, Americans) and attempted to reconcile the natives to the general conditions and circumstances, rather than attempting to arouse them against the French. You understand how such a situation could be. Whether you were native or European born I do not gather from the information given. Of course, we we have had quite a number of individual appearances where a more or less detailed report has been given of activities.

This sort of information requires a reading on each period, however.

We appreciate your contribution to our work at this time. While we very much desire to aid everyone possible, naturally there are times - through such wide acquaintances - when some individuals are more appealing than others. Just what produces this we have not been able to determine, and it is one of the things we are trying to correlate and understand. So many times we have found a condition very similar to your own, where an individual has appealed in some unseen way. While we are not surprised at what happened to you in a financial way, we are glad that it did happen, and appreciate your remembering us. Wouldn’t this experience point to the very field of activity suggested in the reading?”

R3. 6/28/33 “I am giving your suggestions about ins. considerable thought. So far the matter is far from clear to me… My work, as I believe I told you, has been in the line of organization, management and up to June 1932 I have been quite successful… When business returns there is a possibility of resuming this line, but of course there is no certainty… I have a feeling that I lack the necessary ‘crust’ for a successful life ins. man, tho possibly I might acquire it.

“If sometime you could get a more definite suggestion as to the type of ins. I would certainly most appreciate it.”

R4. 6/30/33 EC gave a Physical Rdg for the boy next door - 367-1.

R5. 7/29/33 Mr. [342] obtained 342-3, a Physical Rdg. for himself.

R6. 8/5/33 He wrote reporting on his Physical Rdg. Then:

“I investigated insurance and wrote the companies suggested. One answer, Nat’l Life, and I saw the local agent about the job here, which was collecting a certain percent of premiums from small policy holders each month and selling additional; small salary and commission - mostly young men.

“So I looked into Life Ins. and took two weeks training but somehow I do not seem to have the necessary liking for it. All of my adult life I have been directing people and I simply do not have the necessary bluff and crust to make myself like work of personal canvass. Somehow I cannot subscribe to the methods employed to sell insurance. If I knew the subject thoroughly, then approached a man on advisory and helpful basis instead of applying pressure I would feel more favorable towards it.

“I am looking for business in general to pick up by next month and have considerable faith in being able to get going then where I can use my experience and ability. At that time I hope to be able to pay you for this rdg. I wish I could do it now but my funds are running low since I have made no money for 14 months.”

R7. 8/9/33 EC’s letter:

I notice what you say regarding the Insurance matter. I can well imagine your reaction to the National Life & Accident, when they suggested that you begin as a field man taking a collecting route. This, I’m sure, is because it has not been approached in the right way. But, if you do study the situation, and if there is any response whatsoever, I would advise that you go direct to the home office and talk to the people there. For, as I have understood from the reading, it should rather be in the capacity of the field representative of district, state, or something like that, with men under you. Not as an agent that would go out and solicit. However, it may be possible that this is not what appeals to you at all. But I’m very, very sure that some day you will find your associations and connections - if not directly in the insurance field - leading directly into just the type of work outlined in the reading. I certainly do see every day more and more positive proof of the information presented in these readings.
