EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find the general physical forces of the body show much improvement from that as we have had before, yet there is lacking in the vitality - or the inability of the body through its assimilations to STORE energy. Hence the tendency for the body to fag easily, and inability to put on weight or to feel as if GAINING, rather than at the standstill.
-
Now the assimilations are very good at present. These have been kept so by the manner of the diet and of the manipulations as have been administered. These should be kept NEARER the nominal through occasional treatments and by continuation of a nominal diet in the directions as have been given. That lacking in the vital forces of the system may be added through vibrations as will be set up and created within the physical being by the administering of these in this proportion:
Gum Camphor…20 grains, Sulphate of Morphia…1/2 grain, Muriated Iron…22 grains.
-
Mix well together and put in capsules - twenty of them. Keep these in a cool place or they will dissolve. The dose of them will be ONE each day, preferably upon ARISING - see? This is a stimuli, and also the iron will be assimilated in a manner as to bring greater vitality to the system. Do that. One quantity should be sufficient, will the body [if the body will] keep the manipulations OCCASIONALLY [from Dr. C. O. Wright, D.C.] not regularly - but once a week, see? or something of that nature, or keep a normal exercise for self, and watching the diet - the body should improve and feel MUCH bettered.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 10/16/28 Letter from EC to [340], [348]‘s wife:
”…We enclose herewith the reading as gotten this morning. I certainly am in hopes that the suggestions given will add to the already bettered condition. As you see from the prescription, it will be necessary for [348] to get a doctor to write this for him. I think he can get one there, or Mr. [270] will be able to suggest someone if [348] doesn’t know one. Don’t be uneasy about the amount of morphia that’s in this. It’s only a very small quantity. As you can see, it would only be a fortieth of a grain, or about two milligrams, and would only act as a stimulant, not as a narcotic in that proportion. I’m sure you will find this very helpful…”
R2. 12/11/28 [340]‘s letter to EC:
”…I’m certainly slow about acknowledging the prescription. [from Dr. House] [348] had it filled and has finished taking them already. You said in the reading you thought twenty capsules would be enough. I’ll see how he gets along and if I think he had better have some more, I’ll have it filled again. He has a pretty good appetite but doesn’t gain a pound. In fact, looks badly I think; but he is sticking to his diet, and hasn’t had any pain (as far as I know; he is the kind to never say anything about his pains) for a long time. He is still wearing his belt [XX Radium Appliance pad or belt] seems to be a part of him now…”
R3. 1/14/29 Wife [340]‘s letter:
”…Xmas and New Years [348] had too many rich meals I think and got his stomach all upset again, and besides having flu has suffered terribly from his stomach and hasn’t been able to get himself straightened out yet. At your earliest convenience I’m going to ask you to give both of us a reading. If you prefer to give it jointly that will be fine - whatever you think. The capsules that you prescribed in [348]‘s last reading he had filled the second time and has taken them - but he doesn’t seem to be doing any good. I think perhaps he had better have a general reading this time…”
R4. 1/25/29 [340]‘s letter to EC:
”…I am really worried most to death about [348]. He looks dreadful, and has no strength or vitality whatever…”
R5. 2/12/29 Wife [340] submitted questions.
R6. 2/15/29 See 348-4.
