This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of October, 1929, in accordance with request made by her husband, via Mr. [202].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading Waverly Sanitarium, 10:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. near Rockville, Md. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [3759]. Now, we find the conditions disturb the equilibrium between the physical and mental of this body is not wholly physical nor wholly psychological; for the pathological and psychological are as one, when coordinating properly in the system, especially as related to the effect of the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal with the impulse as are carried to the brain center for its distribution as coordinated with the physical reactions. While these conditions are gradually on the improve in some respects, we do not find them wholly coordinating - but without some material change as would bring the reaction sufficient so that we had coordination between the sympathetic and psychopathic influence with the brain’s reaction, there must still remain some distortions to the mental reaction of the body. These conditions, WE find, are of that nature that the glands in system have to do with the regeneration or gentative system as it coordinates with those of the sympathetic, through the activities of the pineal gland - NOT wholly at the base of brain, but rather that as a thread runs through the system to the organs of the body, these pressures in the end are the PHYSICAL results of not wholly accidents, yet accidents from the system’s taking on conditions that come from the reaction through the body in embryo. In the effect, then, is to produce over activity in some directions and under development in other directions, in the mental abortions [aberrations?] of the mind.

  2. In meeting the conditions under the present existing forces, will - as we find - bring bettered condition, as given, in some respects, but not a normal reaction. Were properties added to the system that would carry into the system those elements that would create such vibrations as to destroy this impairment between the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal - as receives its impulses in centers radiating from the activity of the glands in the organs of gentation, as the impulses through the solar plexus, lower lumbar plexus, secondary cardiac plexus - were these so that the IMPULSES of the whole system builded to that condition where these were added in the system, WE do not find cause why - physically and MENTALLY - the body should not respond.

  3. We would - if changed, then - use those properties in the medicinal manner as come from the vibrations of that known or called May Blossom Bitters. Necessary that the dosage be changed. Also those vibrations should be carried in the system of the wet battery carrying GOLD - charged - suspended in same, attaching the nickel anode to the umbilicus; that is, the last one. The other to the base of the brain. These will be hard to change. It will require time, patience - yet, with the proper reaction set about, this could be brought to near normal. We are through for the present.
