This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of May, 1934, in accordance with request made by Mrs. [255], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes. As we find, there is the desire being made, and the activities in the soul and body, for the arousing to such action as to make more and more the awareness in the consciousness of those near and dear to the body as to the whereabouts, and that there is to meet.

2. Let this influence grow in thee. As the Father has given, “If ye would show forth thy love unto me, be kind and gentle and loving - even to those that despitefully use thee.”

3. Let the purposes and the desires of thy heart be more and more in accordance with His will. For the Lord thy God is Love, and He hath shown thee through the love that He manifested unto the sons of men through the gift of the Son who became the Christ in the earth to those that will put their trust in Him.

4. Man, to be sure, is free-willed and may of himself separate himself from the love of the Father, even as from the love of those that would aid and help and succor and comfort in times of stress, times in which it is necessary that all cooperate one with another.

5. Then, let that love be in thee that was in Him when He gave, “If ye love me, keep my commandments, that I may come and abide with thee,” not leaving thee to struggle against the hardships, the things that make one afraid, the things that make strife, turmoil and distress in the experience of all - that are the fruits of the desire for self to be magnified the more; but let Him have His way with thee.

6. For, He is humble - yet the Lord of all; gracious, yet to Him all power is given; loving, yet to him do those in distress and in power use oft His name in vain.

7. Let Him come and abide with thee. Open thine heart, thine soul, to His ways.

8. May the meditation of the heart and the activity of the body, mind and soul be in accord with those things He, the Christ, the God, thy Father, would have thee do respecting self and self’s relationships with those that be in the earth in divers places, that the glory of the Father may be made the more aware in the lives and experiences of others.

9. Would ye have peace, make the life peaceful to those thou lovest, to those that thou hast a grudge against, to those thou carest not of in material ways; but if ye would have love be lovely, even to those that show - in THINE own understanding - disregard for His ways. For, the things of life are the experiences and expression of a soul seeking - seeking.

10. What in the experience of man can be more direful, more dreadful, than to be lost yet seeking - seeking! Fear and trembling assail thee, yet - yet - wilt thou but let Him in, for His spirit maketh thy spirit and soul aware of the love of the Father.

11. For, He is nigh unto thee. What meaneth toil and strife for just a little while? He sweat the sweat of fear, the sphere of the body ills, yet He gave that body to be bruised that ye might know that He would and does prepare, and has prepared a place according to the deeds done in thy body.

12. Was not He the builder of the earth, of the mind; yea, were He not the builder of earthly habitations? What an example to thee! What buildest thou? Those activities, those words, those looks, those associations must bring that as He has said, “Where I am there ye may be.” What wilt thou build? What art thou building?

13. Love the Lord thy God, for only in doing so may ye find rest for your soul. In doing so may ye find peace in thine mind. And what is the body but the shell? Yet this, too, may be glorified in Him; for the mind builds. The body may become purified as the temple of the living God. How keepest thou thine body? Let Him come in - just now!

14. We are through.
