1. EC: Yes. The physical body lives. It is among things green, and yet it is the city of those that are called dead.

2. Let the light of truth and hope so inspire the inner self as to do that which is right in the sight of thine Maker, respecting self and those that have looked and do look to thee for counsel, succor, aid and advice.

3. Let not the material things so blind thee that they become a stumblingblock in thine experience. Give praise to thy Maker in the name of Him that taught thee to pray: [4/27/34 See 281-20, Par. 9-A in re Lord’s Prayer.]

OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME.

THY KINGDOM COME. THY WILL BE DONE; AS IN HEAVEN, SO IN EARTH.

GIVE US FOR TOMORROW THE NEEDS OF THE BODY.

FORGET THOSE TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE THAT HAVE TRESPASSED AND DO TRESPASS AGAINST US.

BE THOU THE GUIDE IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE, TURMOIL AND TEMPTATION.

LEAD US IN PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THY NAME’S SAKE.

R1. 5/22/34 Wife [255]‘s letter to EC: “The rdgs. have been such a comfort, some day I will be able to make return. We have been trying to reach out to Mr. [378] by our thoughts and prayers, and above all by doing our best to live up to a ‘being in God’ all of the time. God will direct us further and all is well and as it should be.”

R3. 5/28/34 wife requested a rdg. to help her in regard to financial support for the family: “I am facing facts and recognizing divine guidance. I know I will receive in proportion to my utter reliance on the one universal law - God’s will on earth and in heaven. Those of the family in sympathy with spiritual forces are all standing through this experience and evidently learning whatever lessons they need. [275] is a tower of spiritual strength, understanding, love and happiness. I have much to thank God for every hour.

“The thought expressed in the last rdg. [378-45] that the desire is awakening in Mr. [378] to make himself known in body, is so very consoling. God grant its realization soon.

“Love to all.” [255]

R5. 5/28/34 Letter from EC to [311]: ”…Yes, we have been more than disturbed about Mr. [378]. However, we know so little about the circumstances that surround the whole matter that we can’t even speak with assurance; but the family tells us we may expect them at the Congress. The two girls are on the musical program…” [Misses [275] and [276]]
