This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of January, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [379], Active Member of of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Mr. [462] and Mrs. [404].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [462] and Mrs. [404].]
Time of Reading 11:30 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [379]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, there are rather the acute conditions produced by a tendency for a plethora condition in the ascending colon. Hence a CONGESTION in the right side, and pains extending from those areas just below the rib, to those just above the hip bone, on the right side, with a soreness and a COLDNESS across the abdomen itself.
-
This was brought about, primarily, by the poor circulation, and the diffusing (as has been given heretofore) in the manner of the straining through the blood supply itself.
-
As we find, if we would apply to the right side saturated solution of Epsom Salts, and take high enemas, we would relieve this soreness.
-
If it becomes necessary to massage this portion, use equal portions of Olive Oil, Castor Oil and Coal Oil (cut with this). These will be very penetrating; and with hot flannels over same - and then occasionally the Epsom Salts Packs even over THESE - we would find we would soon relieve these conditions.
-
Do not take too much food in the system until there is a thorough cleansing of the alimentary canal. This would be well to be done with an alternation between the Fletcher’s Castoria and the Syrup of Figs. These should be taken about every half an hour, or an hour apart, until there is the THOROUGH evacuation. The dose would be half a teaspoonful, at one time of the Castoria and the next of the Syrup of Figs.
-
Then begin with broths or beef juices or vegetable juices; and begin to build up the general system.
-
And we will find conditions will improve.
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are through with this reading.

EPSOM SALTS PACKS
Dissolve as much Epsom Salts as will dissolve in the amount of water necessary to saturate a crash towel. Apply as hot as possible over area indicated. Keep repeating the hot applications for 2 or 3 hours at each treatment. A piece of oilcloth may be used over the Packs to prevent soiling linens, etc. An electric pad may be used to keep the Pack warm until the Epsom Salts has completely dried or has become caked in the Pack.)
