This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of February, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [379], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:40 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [379].

  2. The conditions here are not so good, and may be a great deal worse. Unless the proper precautions are taken and relief comes, we may find a closing or localization in the lungs and in the bronchi, and the congestion of the liver and the disturbance of the hepatic circulation making for hard conditions to be met physically.

  3. First, we would find, do not for several days take any foods other than liquids and semi-liquids.

  4. We would first bathe the lower limbs, from the knees down and the feet especially, in hot mustard water.

  5. Begin with Bromo-Laxative Quinine. These we would take every three hours until there is a thorough cleansing through the alimentary canal.

  6. We would begin then with the Chill Tonic that is a combination with the Bromo-Quinine.

  7. Across the lower portion of the lung area we would put a combination of equal portions Mutton Suet, Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Apply locally, massaging; also put on a flannel and then apply heat.

  8. Temperature may be high, but reduce same with rub alcohol and TEPID enemas.

  9. Do this, as we find for the body in the present.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) What is the cause of this condition? (A) Very poor circulation, congestion in the liver, poor hepatic eliminations, and congestion in the lower portion of the bronchi.

  12. (Q) What will relieve the severe pains in abdomen? (A) As indicated, the hot packs and the rubs.

The enemas would relieve the abdominal pains.

  1. (Q) What will give relief for condition existent in the rectum? (A) Cleansing the SYSTEM; and we will find the nominalcy of conditions near to normalcy in these directions.

  2. (Q) What should be the dosage of the Chill Tonic? (A) Teaspoonful every three or four hours apart.

  3. (Q) Is this Groves Chill Tonic? (A) Grove’s - these go with Bromo-Laxative Quinine; only Grove makes these.

  4. (Q) What is condition and relief for eyes and back? (A) The massage as indicated and the heat that will allow for the circulation better.

Do these as have been indicated; and they’ll need to be done right away or there won’t be any use!

  1. We are through with this reading.
