This psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Washington Hotel, Room 1105, Chicago, Ill., this 19th day of July, 1924, in accordance with request made by [3818].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, and these associations in many forms and manners. The conditions, many we have had before. Some are constantly in and on the change.

2. (Q) What are the plans of A. G. Becker and his associates, Robert Schaffner and David B. Stern, regarding [3818]? (A) These conditions and the intent and purpose, as has been set by these, or this group, is given, though we find much of the actual operations done by others. This we have had before. Hindrances in intent and purpose, caused more by Stern. The intent and purpose can be carried out. This has been in the manner and way to control the interests of certain holdings as held by [3818]. With the change as has been given to be brought to an actual happening would defeat much of the purpose and the intent would satisfy the desire or intent of this group, yet handled in that manner that [3818] gains control of the change and organization. This would be again the fulfilling of the purpose of one of this number - Stern. In the intent and purpose then is as this: Defeat the plans of [3818] and associates in the handling of securities in a certain field. This we haven’t here. This can be and may be carried out with the fore-warned conditions that would prevent such being carried out, except as is given, this could be turned into defeat for Becker.

3. (Q) What should [3818] do regarding the plans of A. G. Becker and his associates? (A) As given. To defeat the intent of this would be to carry out the re-organization as has been outlined.

4. (Q) Should there be a change made in the purchasing head of the Daniel Boone Woolen Mills? (A) We do not see that there should be.

5. (Q) Should there be a change made in the sales management of the Daniel Boone Woolen Mills? If so, why should this be done and when should it be done? (A) Should be done as soon as can be successfully done without causing the combative elements to turn against the interests of [3818] for there has been and there is some underhand in some of these conditions. We have as here a specific transaction as gives this condition. We have in a sale that has been made, wherein contract prices have been given on certain manufactured materials, you see. This is in edge of Chicago and used in Cincinnati, and used in another place farther East. In this contract this condition shows itself. See, this can be checked.

6. (Q) Should [3818] make settlement on any of the lawsuits filed or threatened against him, and if so why? (A) Make none at the present. There will come the time in the future (three to four weeks) when there will be the necessity, yet there will be a change that it will not be necessary, save to the satisfaction of [3818] and associates to settle some of these, for we find with the change that is to come in the conditions soon (next week, you see) that conditions will open, change, be bettered. Some that have been threatened will be withdrawn. Some that have been filed will be turned to a different channel. Tuesday, begin to buy stock rather from at least two places - New York, Pittsburgh, and this we will find will gradually begin on the upward, then beginning at the quarter and going with the change as will show in fluctuation to two o’clock. Then cover. On the latter days we will find (this week, we are speaking of, to come) again the tendency with this keeping up, though we will find fighting back from other conditions, carry the battle and through Stern, you see - David.

7. (Q) When should [3818] buy stock in Daniel Boone Woolen Mills, and what will the price be that he should pay for same? (A) We have given this. In the early portion of week, with the change that is to be effected by the cover of the market quotation. Buy on the up, which will be the quarter, then three-eights, five-eights, then to the whole. Change with these, as is given.

8. (Q) Should [3818] go into any ventures outside of those he is already in? (A) Not just at present. There will come those propositions that would be effective for [3818]. Such a proposition will be presented on this day and date. This will be proof to [3818]. On the thirteenth day of August, 1924, good proposition. Watch it. Then accept.

9. We are through.
