This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Washington Hotel, Room 1105, Chicago, Ill., this 20th day of July, 1924, in accordance with request made by [3818].

Time of Reading 3:15 P. M. …, Ill.

1. GD: Now, you have before you the bodies of [3818] and wife, who are at their home, …, Ill. These two desire that another child [GD’s note: Mr. [3818] and his wife already had one child, a little girl] be born to them. You will give the cause of this defect, if any, at the present, with whom, and how it may be remedied.

2. EC: Yes, we have these two here. One we have had before, you see [3818-1]. This condition as we find, this desire as we find, this defect as we find is in the fault of each in a manner, but in a different manner. This desire may be accomplished by the change of physical conditions that would have to do with each. While we find that all of the time the semen of [3818] is not fertile, yet we find physical conditions in that of [the wife] that prevent the fertilization of the semen that would produce in this stage the completion of a conception that would mean the birth of an entity.

3. This we need have then: We find in the body of [the wife] the womb itself is turned backward, so that the semen does not find lodgement, or that conception may be completed. Then for this correction we need local application to the womb of [the wife] that this correction may be made. It at present is not such condition to cause distress at the menstrual periods, yet is of such nature as to prevent the completion of conception. This may be accomplished by using packs, locally (medicated), that this straightening may be accomplished, and by the using of forces in that of [3818] may be enlivened, that conception may be possible with this union.

4. This [3818] should take when this correction in that of [the wife]‘s condition has been completed:

Chloride of Gold…10 grains, added to Distilled Water…10 ounces, with Bicarbonate of Soda…10 grains.

5. The dose that would be taken would be 5 drops in half a glass of water twice each day, for at least 10 days. Then the semen will be found to contain necessary fertilization for completion of conception, and the body, [the wife] will conceive, as we find here, that from such conception the birth would be a son, that may be brought to be a light unto his peoples.

6. Do that for the betterment of each in their lives to come.

7. We are through.
