This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [3934].

Born May 26, 1876, in Walton, New York. Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Florida.

1. GC: You will have before you Mrs. [3934], who was born May 26, 1876, in Walton, New York, and you will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity, and to that which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity, and the relation with the Universe and Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present earth’s plane.

3. In taking the position in the present earth’s plane, we find the entity coming under those influences of Uranus, Venus and Jupiter, with the influences direct in many of the lesser planets, and the will force exhibited in the sojourns in the earth’s plane, and in the present, then brings many conditions in the present life that are seemingly of an exceptional nature, for many conditions have arisen, and are to arise, that will make sudden changes, and vital changes, in the life in the earth plane of the entity.

4. As to those as personalities, that are latent and exhibited in the present, irrespective of will’s force, we find many as these:

One who, under these influences, finds the study of any condition, or of any element that is of a mystery to others, easy to be understood; yet often not capable of giving full explanation of that felt or known within self; yet we find the entity would have made a wonderful teacher, see? for the abilities to explain those as are set as given lessons for truths are easily explained by this entity.

6. One, then, of an exceptional mind, and of an analytical nature.

7. One that has found many varying circumstances as regard to friendships and loves in the life of the entity, yet one that holds friendship as high above that as is ordinarily known or felt by many.

8. One that is eccentric to many, yet to those who love the entity most, the entity sweet, lovable, and of an amiable disposition towards every class, character, or nature.

9. One, then, of that of a humble, contrite heart, yet haughty in many aspects of presenting same in the minds of others.

10. One that the truth loving is of an exceptional nature.

11. One that finds in the giving to others of truths that are long sought in a way that becomes as real lessons to others.

12. One, then, as we will find, who will make much through lecturing, or writing, see? for in the development of these, we find a vast imagination of many natures, and truths may be brought to others through these means that would give much to others.

13. As to the appearances, and as these give their influence in the present earth plane:

14. In the one before this we find in those days when the first peoples came to the country now known as America. The entity then among those first Norse people who occupied that country afterward settled by the Puritans. Then in the name Oflaeiof, and the entity then among those who gave the first conception to those peoples, then found in that country, of the study of religious rites. Hence the love, in the present, of those things, those conditions, those truths, as pertain to rites, as to ancient, medieval and present religious worship, see?

15. In the one before this we find in the days of the building in Rome. Then the entity was among those who were first in those of the builded city, and then in the name Claudiauso, and the entity then in that capacity of the aid to the builder in architectural work of the day, and the influence as is felt, or urge, is as of the beauties of those of architectural nature, especially as pertain to the Greek and Roman architecture.

16. In the one before this we find in those days when the division came in the kingdoms in Egypt, as the rule is established in the court and religious rule, in that rule of Araaraart when the divisions came, and the entity then in that of the assistant to the ones that furnished the music for the temple service, and sided with those that were banished. Then in the name Assisa, and the entity developed much in this, for in the persecutions that were brought, the music and the love of same became as that attunement to the soul of the entity. Hence, in the present, that feeling of loss of self, physically, at music, especially that of the old rhythmic nature, or of tom-tom music of the Indian, or of the Egyptian, or of the one or two-stringed instruments, and especially of harp.

17. Then, as to what the entity may attain: In that especially of the writer, or of the lecturer, for with the physical conditions in body, with those of the conditions as are in the mental development, these may be given in a way and manner to many, as will bring the greater joy to self, and the greater peace and promise to others.

18. Keep self, then, in that way and manner, knowing that the service to others brings the greater joy, through the showing of the loving kindness of the Giver of Life, Light, and the Hereafter.

19. We are through for the present.

Dear Mrs. [3934]

I’m enclosing you, herewith, the reading as was gotten today. I’m sorry that we have been delayed somewhat on this, but we feel like that the Life Readings may be deferred when there are physical readings that need immediate attention. That is why that it is necessary to have the birth date and place, as it is taken from that viewpoint rather than just where the individual is at the time.

I certainly am in hopes that you’re seeing some results from your treatment from the doctor, and I’m very much in hopes that it won’t be long before you’ll have all of your treatments going and that you will have the results from same, as so many hundreds of others have had and are having. We had a very nice letter from Mr. [4847] and Mrs. [4848] and I am in hopes that they will gain benefits also.

R2. 2/28/26 [3934]‘s letter:

My dear Mr. Cayce -

The same letter carrier left your letter with the “Life Reading” and took my letter to you [See 3934-1] - but I was not at home when it occurred. Hope you will not trouble to answer it for you have given me so generously of your time already.

The “Life Reading” was even far more wonderful than the “Health Reading.” I want to study more along this line so as to understand it better. Can you give me any suggestions? The Theosophical study that I have had is really the only help to the deeper thinking & higher understanding that I have had.

It was so satisfying to have my present capabilities show out to you as they have been given to me by other means, that is Vocational Counselor who arrived, by means of Biological Types - education & environment & personal appearance. (I have studied this myself.)

My urge is to serve Humanity, to the fullest and best of my ability in the way most needed. So you see why I was so anxious to be well & strong - unhampered by the physical.

My present condition is due to one or more of those great changes in my life referred to also as friendships, & lives, but I seemed entirely engulfed as it were & unable to rise above, until your aid came to the rescue.

I felt that in my case the two Readings were imperative, & thank you most sincerely for it all.

I am going to write to Mrs. [2672] & Mrs. Dan F. Williams (Laura Clock) & others from whom you may hear.

I wish I had at my command the finances to express my gratitude in terms of usable cash. Until then please accept the humble enclosure for your self, in partial, at least, payment for your time, & thank Mrs. Cayce for me also.

My dear Mrs. [3934]

I have yours of the 26th and 28th. I was sure, on receipt of yours of the 26th, that the reading must have arrived about the time your letter was mailed. I’m glad to know that you received same, and especially to know you feel that both of these have been of help to you, for my desire is to be of help and assistance to others, if possible, for I feel sure that only in such an application of the gifts that have been granted to operate through me may be really worth while. I’m certainly in hopes that you will let me hear from you from time to time. I’m glad to know that the doctor finds you are responding to the treatment, and I trust you have been able to receive the others by this time and that you are receiving the beneficial effects from each one.

I am in hopes that some day soon I will have the opportunity to meet and talk to you in person. I’m sure, from your letter, that you would be very helpful to me, for I have not had the physical advantages of an education, and to know from others that the work that I am doing coincides with the knowledge that others have acquired by experience and training, is really surprising to me at times; but I am glad to know that it is helpful, that it helps one to lift up, look up, for that’s what counts.

I want to thank you very much for your letter and for your remembering me, for, as you realize, it is just by the goodness of those who recognize my position and contribute to the physical needs of myself and family that enables me to give the work to others. I certainly hope I may hear from your friends, and that I may be of service to many.
