GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before. Many, many changes have come about in this body since last we had same here. Practically all are for improvements.
-
If there would be kept improvements, though, we would follow through with the other treatments, the breaking up of the tendencies for congestion in portions of the body, and follow these with, at least occasionally the short wave, having more of the osteopathic stimulation for eliminating the general drosses from these accumulations of congestions through the body. Do give these. Then follow through as indicated, and we will continue to find betterment in the physical forces of the body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What should be done for the small mole or soft growth on left side of back, just below the shoulder blade, that gets irritated at times and is painful? (A) Use a small quantity of Castor Oil with a little soda mixed in same. This will make it sore for a day or two, then it will disappear.
-
(Q) Just rub it on? (A) Just rub it on, two or three days apart, for two or three times.
-
(Q) What should be done for the fissure in rectum? (A) This will clear itself, if there is the vibration to purify the general segregation in the circulation of the body. Thus the desire and the need for the Short Wave treatments, see? And then sufficient of the osteopathic treatments - not merely the Short Wave, and don’t have only the stimulations osteopathically for elimination - but combine these.

We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 6/15/50 Mrs. [4033] reported in reply to our Questionnaire: “My chief complaint was a pain in top or front part of left thigh, between hip and knee. Quite painful and thought to be an affected nerve. Pain almost unenduring, requiring an opiate for several weeks. In hospital at Norton Memorial Infirmary, Louisville, about five weeks. Attended by five different doctors, found no relief. Extreme pain in left leg and hip, apparently nerve disorder. At home, better, taking pill to sleep, and hot water bottle to relieve pain in leg.
“I followed the treatment for five or six months and would say that I was cured, as I have had no recurrence to date, though the leg was somewhat injured by treatment by doctors while in hospital and that portion where pain was is quite sensitive at times.
“The soft growth on the left side of back has not bothered me since.
“While the osteopath giving the treatments would not openly admit following treatment according to the reading, she worked continuously on the parts of the spinal column mentioned and apparently good results were obtained. She mentioned at one time that it was remarkable how well the case had been diagnosed by the reading. Some twenty-odd treatments were taken, final result being favorable. No definite record maintained as to beginning of trouble, dates of treatment while in hospital by some five or six specialists in efforts to diagnose trouble or cause. Various treatments given without apparent results. Most of above statements are from memory at this time.”
R2. 5/1/52 Death notice appeared saying that Mrs. [4033] “died recently at … General Hospital, … Ky., after an illness of several months.”
R3. 8/5/72 Mr. Kenneth O. Cayce, Sr. of Hopkinsville, Ky., reported that Mr. R., Mrs. [4033]‘s husband, visited him in Hopkinsville early in 1950. “He spent the night in Hopkinsville and asked the hotel clerk where he could find a Cayce. He said he just wanted to relate his experience with Edgar, saying that his wife [4033] had been ill in the early 1940’s and the doctor in Louisville had told him that her condition was incurable and she would probably have only a short time to live. About this time, an article appeared in the magazine section of the Louisville Courier Journal regarding Edgar Cayce and his readings. Mr. R. [not his real name] had a sister, a school teacher, in Virginia Beach and he called her to ask about Edgar Cayce. She said she had never heard of the man but would ask some of the teachers at school the next day, and ask if she could get a reading on her sister-in-law. One teacher knew about him, also she was a friend of Miss Gladys, Edgar’s secretary. She arranged for a reading which was given, a copy being sent to Louisville with a certain medicine being recommended [Bromidia]. Mr. Russell said he went to several drug stores and could not find one that knew about this medicine. He then called Virginia Beach and asked if a mistake had been made. Mr. Cayce said no but to try another drug store, the name of which he gave him. The medicine was located. Mr. Russell said that in three weeks’ time of following the treatment recommended in the reading his wife had recovered and went to the grocery. At the time he was talking with me, she was living in Louisville and in fairly good health. Then he said, ‘That is why I wanted to talk to a Cayce.’”
