This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [413], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [413].

3. As we find, there is an unbalancing in the coordinations of the acid and the alkalinity of the body in the gastric flow. These are disturbed, or the glandular disturbances through portions of the body.

4. Administrations here, as we find for this body, would be:

5. Take each morning before breakfast for five mornings just a level teaspoonful of Sal Hepatica in a glass of water. Then leave off.

6. After those five days, begin taking the Purity Cross Vitamin tablets, that will add to the strength and vitality in the body. Do not take them before there is the preparing of the system for them. Do not take one every day, but one every other day; though you will find the directions will be to take one every day. For this body, we would take one every OTHER day, when ready to retire. This will eliminate the tired feeling, the tendency for cold, and get rid of those accumulations of poisons through portions of the body and the alimentary canal - the after effects of the flu reactions, especially in the colon and alimentary canal, as well as a stimulation for the gastric flow in the duodenum and the pancreas.

8. (Q) What causes the soreness and stiffness of neck, in the cords of my neck? (A) Pressures from poisons from the flu, and thus the injunctions for purifying the whole of the flow in the alimentary canal. And during that five-day period don’t eat solid foods, but rather liquids and semi-liquids, so we will purify the system. Don’t eat much at all of any meats, or too much sweets. Let’s clarify or purify the system.

9. (Q) May anything further be done to overcome numbness and stiffness of right hand? (A) Keep up the proper eliminations for the body, and this will take away these the more; for these come from a pressure existing in the area of the caecum and part of the colon.

After beginning the stimuli or tonic of the Purity Cross Vitamins, we would take again the Sal Hepatica, each morning before eating, for another period, you see.

10. (Q) Am I gaining too much weight? (A) Let’s take some of it off with these very things that have been indicated.

Drink grape juice four times a day, and you’ll take off some of it and won’t eat quite so much!

11. (Q) Will the cold be eliminated by following these treatments? (A) That’s what we are getting rid of, as indicated!
