  1. EC: Now, we find conditions are much improved in this body from those we had before. The condition as existed in the intestinal tract, producing specific conditions through the upper and lower intestines, has been removed almost entirely. In the lumbars and the centers that were affected by this is much improved.

  2. There is at the present time that in the duodenum and the pancreas that caused the back flow of the secretions, and at times give distress to the gastric center and the hypogastric and pneumogastric centers become involved, causing distress and at the same time gives to the circulation the overcharge, as is shown through the liver. This we see produced more by the diet than by conditions that are abnormal in the system, the taking of properties that produce the incorrect form of gastric and lactic fluids in the excretions of the pancreas and duodenum.

  3. To correct this, we would take small quantities of an alkaline that would overcome these conditions, and exercise the discretion of the will in the diet for the body until the system gains sufficient strength to overcome the condition in the system.

  4. These we would find in equal quantities of soda, bicarbonate, or phosphate of soda, with few drops of syrup of sarsaparilla. Either of these, only when conditions arise, for the system is corrected only for local specific changes, or overcharging of the system in this manner.

  5. Do that.

  6. (Q) Should the same medicinal properties be taken, and osteopathic treatment continued? (A) No. Take the properties as given, and the exercise that will reduce or equalize the circulation, morning and evening. That of the abdomen, the diaphragm and the lower limbs before retiring. That of the arms and upper portion of the body upon arising. A few minutes of each, and consistency with diet and with the exercise.

  7. (Q) What foods should be avoided in eating? (A) Any food that carries quantities of oils or grease of any character. Those rather of the vegetable and as much of that raw as possible.

  8. (Q) Should eggs be avoided? (A) Not unless they carry grease.

  9. (Q) Was the last quantity of medicine prepared correctly? (A) Did not produce the same effect in the system, though the after effects brought conditions that at present are satisfactory for what it was taken.
