This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 20th day of October, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [4219].

[Edgar Cayce, Mrs. Cayce; Conductor, Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [4219].]

Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. Dayton Time. …, Ohio.

  1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for the cure and relief of the body.

  2. EC: Now we find the general conditions throughout the entire body very good. There are some conditions, as we have had before in the system, where indiscretion and congestion so excite the functioning of the digestive system as to produce distress through the lower duodenum and the lower portions of the intestinal digestive system. This we see has been produced by the overtaxing of the body in this lower digestive region by the over stimulus in the body acting under nerve strain and stress when digestion is taking place in the system. The body should with these conditions, until the body gains its perfect equilibrium, work under such conditions as the body will not be brought under such strain. Well too to correct these conditions, that the gall duct be emptied through osteopathic manipulation, also strengthen the blood supply in the region of the ascending colon; that is, stimulating the centers in the upper lumbar region.

  3. Do this and keep the diet in that accord with the physical exercises of the body, and in the manner in keeping with the nerve reaction. Do not overtax the system under such conditions. We will bring the body to its normal conditions throughout.

  4. (Q) Should meats be eliminated from the diet? (A) Not too much meats. Some meats may be taken in moderation and not overtaxing the system. Never eat meats when the body is physically tired.

  5. (Q) Is smoking injurious to the body? (A) This excites some of the gastric juices in the stomach. In moderation not detrimental, rather beneficial, for the soothing effect in nerve system is good under the strain, the way the body labors. To an excess detrimental.

  6. (Q) Should coffee be eliminated from the diet? (A) Used once to twice a day, not too much.

Never use cream with the coffee for this body.

  1. (Q) Are you through with this reading? (A) Do as we have given. We will keep this body physically, mentally and spiritually fit.

  2. We are through for the present.
