This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of September, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [428].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [428] - this we have had before. The conditions and changes as have been brought about in the system are very much in the position as where sediment in a container in water has been stirred up for elimination. In the administrations of those properties as to alter or change vibrations in the system, these have aided in that - with the LITTLE of the manipulations as given with same - have only set about ready for changes. Now, as we first outlined, there are specific centers in the cerebro-spinal system that need not only adjustment, but SUFFICIENT of manipulation and treatment as to cause a change in the direction of impulses FROM those centers as have been in the position of action of impingements. Not as those of out of place, but muscular forces in a lateral form of the condition as to CAUSE this misdirection. These, as we find, are most from the 9th and 10th dorsal to the upper cervicals, in this particular body.

2. Now take those of the manipulations AND adjustments as will make for the CORRECTION of these conditions, so that - as drainages are set up in system - the corrective forces, or those of the drosses as STIRRED up - will be eliminated from the system. These, as we find, will eliminate this tendency of the tightness about the middle of the body, this fullness as appears in face, in eyes, in neck - the tendency in the throat of the too much secretion, the fullness or the heaviness in feet - these, as we find, will disappear. Be well were there applied, when the manipulations are given, those of the ultra-violet ray, centered on the 9th and 10th dorsal center, segregating the rest of it, or shade same over the centers there - for two to five minutes. This following every OTHER treatment. See? Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Give cause and treatment of gas in intestines. (A) This from acid, as comes from those repressions in the dorsal regions.

4. (Q) Give cause and treatment of bladder disturbance. (A) Same cause. Same treatment.

Do as we have given, and we will find these will disappear.

In connection with my life reading I beg to say, that after I noted Dr. Berger’s questions as to rest and exercise*, it will be most essential for my PHYSICAL success to have those questions in my life reading answered that pertain to my mode of work. It happens over and over again, that when my strength has fairly well picked up from a period of rest and very easy house work, I always go completely to pieces when a prolonged demand is made upon my strength and silently and inwardly I feel that housework, as I should do it and as it is there for me to do, is killing me. This, of course, is putting it strong, but that is how it feels no matter how cheerfully and willingly I do it. For myself I would not mind so much, it seems I have the capacity and will power to keep up to the point of exhaustion, but for the sake of the family this is downright folly. In a condition like this I am no happy wife and a fagged out mother, which I positively do not want to be. With your kind help I may be able to determine whether I am constantly trying to do the impossible and by knowing what I am best fitted for, be of real use to those nearest to me and possibly have a little to spare for the outside world.
