1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, that are latent and exhibited in the present entity, [428].

2. In entering we find astrologically the entity coming near those changes, or cusps, and in those relationships with sojourns in Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Mars. In these relations we find in the present alterations as respecting the application of will as respecting some of the influences; for circumstance - rather than environment or hereditary indications - is manifested in the present entity’s development.

3. In Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars - these, as we find, have made in their various aspects - with the relationships to the body - tendencies or periods of varying degrees of intensity in the entity’s experience, as in twenty-three, four, five, six. These - especially Mars’ influence - brought those indeterminate experiences in the mental upheaval in the body as respecting its relationships to individuals, its relationships to the affairs in the home, in the world, in the experiences of individuals about the entity; while following same there came almost as a period of gentleness, quietude, within the relationships with individuals; while internally, or innately, those of turmoil in physical AND mental readjustments from such relations have made for a domination in will’s applications in self.

4. In the alterations that were brought before this in the experience of the entity, these have varied according to their innate influence from sojourns and their effect upon the mental or soul’s development of the entity; yet the entity in the present experience has made for a broader development.

6. Jupiter brings the bigness of vision, the nobleness of purpose, the patience with self as well as with others.

Mercury brings the high MENTAL abilities, mental influence, and - attuned with Venus and with Jupiter - has made in the present surroundings, this experience (not in the present immediate hour), for an influence of a creative genius in the mental forces of the body, especially as regarding details, or details of surroundings, of individuals - as to their mental attitude as RESPECTING same. Hence the decorative or art influence in the life, as to tints, shades, color effect - and here we will find for the entity, that colors influence the entity a great deal more even than musical forces in ITS tone - or color in music. Drabs, or certain greens, have an effect that is almost that to bring ILLNESS in the physical body; while the purples or violets, or shades of tan, bring an exultant influence that would make for the bringing of BUILDING influences in the entity. Hence, if the entity will surround self with those influences IN such, much may be accomplished in many fields that have lain dormant in the abilities of the entity in the present experience. Those things that partake especially of carvings as from the efforts of those in the schools known as the Chinese or Japanese arts; those that partake of vivid colorings, that make for the oriental influence - as held about those characterizations of presentations in the art field; those that make for the use of figures that represent STRENGTH, or any form of human endeavor IN the experience of mankind - these will make for that same influence; for, as is seen in the experience of the entity, just and INKLING, just a key, just a semblance of the necessary key to the code of human experience, will the entity innately be able to give that which is most satisfactory in the experience of others, and in THIS manner may the entity INFLUENCE others the most - by the abilities that lie in this field; for ALMOST does the entity reach that position where those unseen forces from the cosmic influences carry on in the entity’s endeavor, whether in the music field or in the nature of that field may the greater strength, the greater ability, the greater forces of development - whether material, whether mental, whether spiritual forces of the body - be obtained. In THESE (should these NOT be carried to excess) will come the strength, the power and the might within the entity’s experience.

8. In those appearances in the earth’s plane, and the effect these have upon the entity in the present, these we find few - yet these have influenced, do influence the entity much in the present:

9. In the one, then, before this, we find in that period when the Master walked in the earth, and when He went to and fro through the land. The entity was among those of the city who came to the well to hear those truths as propounded in that day, and was a SISTER of the woman at the well. [11/5/31 See daughter’s rdg. 451-2, indicating that she, [451], was the Woman of Samaria - John 4:7.] In the name Josie. In this experience the entity gained, after coming under the influence of this individual experience; for REASON - with the faith that was implanted by this meeting - brought peace, joy, understanding, and the ability to suffer, even in silence, whether in physical, in mental, or the material things of life; being in the position, in the latter portion, of those who sought, those that sent - being sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The entity gained in the giving of an understanding and an experience to those whom the entity contacted, being in the household of a ruler of one in command of those that administered the laws, secular laws of the land, yet bringing peace to her own household, quietude to those disturbed in body and mind, and being of that FAMILY that worshiped in the mount - the entity gave much to others. In the present we find that influence innate that finds expression when those things that pertain to spiritual forces are broached in the life. The entity shuns those that are of the infidel nature, whether in act or in oral action.

10. In the one before this we find in that period in the land now known as the Egyptian, when there was the building of the temples and the places of worship. The entity was among those who decorated the walls, the altars, the seats of those who ruled, the seats of those who ministered to the spiritual needs, the mental welfare of the peoples in the land; brought or thrown into consternation, turmoil, troubles, through the changes as wrought with the banishment of the priest; yet the entity, though in sackcloth and ashes - as only temporarily the relationships might be termed - brought to many that remained, and to those that returned, an understanding of how those things of the eye - or that portion of the service through that portion of the body - influence and affect the bodies of those who look upon those things that influence the lives. Hence in the decorative arts, in the COMMERCIALIZATION of same, may the entity in the present gain a peace that will bring a contentment as in no other field. In the name Lyndoi-Elzam. In this experience the entity gained in the ministering to others, in the counseling to those that wavered, in the helping of an understanding - especially in the young. The MUSICIANS of the day counseled oft with the entity in the placing of those sound vibrations that began with the one-stringed instrument - and were added little by little, both by the reed and the string. The entity assisted in placing these in their proper sphere. Hence the innate feeling of the teaching abilities of the entity in musical forces.

11. In the one before this we find in that land known as the Atlantean, and in that period when there were the beginning of the peoples harkening to those influences wherein one controlled another by the mental being. The entity rebelled against the mis-application, the mis-use of those forces; gaining in part and losing mightily in that the entity used for self that of which she accused others. In this rebellion the entity lost, in that the entity turned same to self’s OWN interests. In the name Maeeiioouu.

12. In the abilities of the entity in the present, these - as we find - are in those fields of CREATIVE forces that will - through their VIEWING by others - bring about that ATMOSPHERE, as it may be termed, or that which awakens in the minds of others that of service to the fellow man. Find self in that field of endeavor; while late in the experience, yet will bring for the entity those forces in the world’s influence, aiding in self’s own PHYSICAL conditions as WELL as in material. Turn not for material gains, but for soul’s own experience, that those tenets held in that land by the well - those tenets held in the temples in Aadia(?), and those for which the entity even lost self in the Atlantean period, may make for the close relationships of individuals to that SPIRIT, that MOTIVE force within the heart, the soul, the mind, of which is the DEVELOPING of self. Make the ideal that of the individual’s relationships to its creative force, its creative energies, and God speaks IN the service to all. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Is present mode of occupation too strenuous for body? (A) Turned in the art direction, especially as creative force for environments of individuals’ mental abilities, these would be well - and better than in the present.

14. (Q) Shall body be built up to meet demands? and how? (A) As has been given, these will bring a contentment and satisfaction - and a building from within - that has not been builded heretofore.

15. (Q) How did it happen that my father’s family name of Strauss has the Christian faith attached to it, while all other families by this name are Jewish? (A) Is it a wonder, from the experience in which the entity found self, the influence that were brought to bear upon those whom the entity surrounded in their influence, through that desired by those that brought the entity into being through that experience? Rather a WONDERFUL experience for the entity, than a wonderment that that they held not to an individual experience!

16. (Q) Describe coat of arms. (A) With the crest of the wild boar, with the silver line under it, the seal with the single unicorn across same - in RED and in silver - with the name, or the motto under same, of that in STRENGTH - though given in German.

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

My thoughts have been with you daily ever since I received my last reading, wanting to tell you about it & to share with you and your family my newfound happiness. I so gladly include Mrs. Cayce, who devotedly and patiently conducts all these readings for us.

My life reading may have appeared wonderful to you, but to me, the truth it contains, the help offered so explicitly and beautifully, is profoundly overwhelming.

Of course, I was aware of some artistic abilities, but just as it says, circumstances have continually put them in the background. On rare occasions they flared up like fire that refuses to be put out, but here of late I had practically put all art out my head, except what was needed for criticism at home. Instead, I have tried to reach the Divine cosmic forces through music. I hardly dared do it though, and often I feared I was doing something I should not do. Can you imagine, therefor, what your reading means to me, when it tells me, that I can better reach those forces through colour and artistic surroundings and that my art life, which I have so forcefully and continuously crushed, will heal me? And how and what I may teach to my heart’s content and that I may be of service in a large field, and also go right on and study and improve my life? My heart is too full of joy and gratitude at the new life, that is practically laid at my feet. Even though I must work hard, it will be a life most beautiful, such as I never even dared dream of.

I shall follow all suggestions as outlined, but never having really studied art in a school, I must feel my way. I have the full consent of my husband, who always encouraged my inclinations. I have started already, and Japanese prints that were stored in the attic, are now hung in my room, to be enjoyed, and the violet shades of colour will follow gradually, as I go along. The coat of arms I shall have worked out later, too.

Some time ago I received from you the Norfolk newspaper with your lecture, which you held, in it. I appreciated it very much and read it very carefully, as I am very fond of lectures of this kind. I also noticed the article about the college and the difficulties you were having and regretted same. It seems most unfortunate and hope the problem has been solved. I am hoping that some day I may be of service to you.

R4. 3/17/31 Mrs. [428]‘s reply:

I am in receipt of your letters of the 8th and 12th inst. Commenting on the former, I would like to say that I consider the disbanding of the Association of National Investigators, Inc., by no means A FAILURE. It was a most noble beginning and I am sure that all who were connected with it, gave each according to his or her capacity the best that could be given. If some of our fellowmen could not rise up to the level that was necessary materially or spiritually for the carrying on of this purpose, it is self-evident that this group had to disband, let us pray and hope to be continued by a group of men and women, who have advanced sufficiently to take up and continue. We none of us must forget, that with Divine Unfoldment there is growth, much more subtle, much more intense and unlimitable even to the grasp of our human minds, that only the best of our fellowmen could serve this cause adequately.

Your desire to continue to serve humanity is the Divine Call, I can find no other description suitable and only Divine power and strength can sustain you in this undertaking.

R7. 2/12/32 Letter:

My dear Mr. Cayce:-

Enclosed I am sending you membership blanks filled out and trust you will find same alright. I am also endeavoring to get a new member for you in the near future, in fact we spread your good work all the time, but not very many people are ready for it.

For myself, I am enclosing a check for $15. - for a check life reading. I would very much like to have that incarnation enlarged upon, which was spent in the presence of the Master and those of His teachings as they influenced that incarnation.

Then also, I would like to ask a few questions pertaining to my art work, the real reason being that during this whole year I have had ample proof over and over again that my best life must be as you suggested, namely in the field of art. My silhouettes are admired very much and I have sold a few, but before I throw my whole energy into it, I would like to know whether that is THE thing to do. “Commercial Art”, as was suggested, is a big and wide field and I might be able to do better in something else. Also, no matter, which branch of art I take up, I should do some studying, and would like that question asked, and also what avenue to select to sell my work or how to obtain the most suitable position. All of these questions are all important. I must earn the money to pay for some of the help needed in the house, I also should have money to carry out the original suggestions as regards the furnishing of my room, so that I can do my best. Heretofore, I have been satisfied and had to be with whatever came to me. Almost all my life I have done without the things so dear to me, not physical luxuries, but things for the improvement of the inner life, and now I am going to try to demand to be released from this condition through my own efforts with Divine help through you.

I have read that very often numbers play a big part in the life of humans, and if there is time would like to know, which number is best suited to my vibrations, also, would change of name have an influence on my success, if so, which name.
