This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of September, 1928, in accordance with request made by his wife, Mrs. [4280].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. The physical conditions of this body do not show the proper response to those administrations as have been given for the proper coordination of eliminations throughout the body. Just as we have had before - just as we have given concerning the body, these as have been given have not been administered to the body in the way and manner as was outlined; else we would not have had a re-occurrence of these conditions as shown in the tissue about the centers as govern locomotion, or as is seen with that condition as produced from inflammation of the mucus membrane, not internally but outside, throughout the intestinal tract, or that as may come from auto-intoxication produced by infectious forces from cold and congestion, or that as may be called catarrhal condition, run to such as to produce rheumatic effects in the system.

2. To meet the needs of the conditions of the body at the present time, first we would cleanse the colon thoroughly so that there may not be drosses in this portion of the system. This we would do first by enemas. Then we would begin and create more of the lactic, or non-acid condition throughout the system. This we would bring about by the use of Magnesia, that will bring bettered forces for the system, so that we may have that to build upon which will not be, as it were, adding fuel to the conditions existent.

3. After the system is cleansed from this, begin with those properties as are found in a combination of salts that carry the reaction as prepared from FRUITS, or fruit salts, see? this following those conditions as are created by the non-acid created in the system. Then we begin to build a normal, or nearer normal equilibrium. Change of climate, change of scene, change of actions for the body. More outside, more sunshine, more reaction for the system, would bring bettered conditions for this body, [4283].

5. (Q) What fruits and vegetables should he eat? (A) Rather clear the system first and live practically on that of a gruel or cereal diet until the body has cleared the system, ready for those of the fruit salts as are needed for the correlation or coordination of the eliminating and assimilating system, so that we may build nearer properly. Then any of the vegetables that grow ABOVE the ground; none that grow in the ground. Rather of the pod or of the leaves, and any that grow ABOVE the ground may be taken.

6. (Q) What will relieve the swollen condition in the limbs and give relief? (A) That as has been given is to relieve the conditions. Locally there may be applied saturated solutions of salts that are combined with those of the nature that will produce hypnosis to the tissue about same, or a few drops of laudanum in the water when the saturated solution is made - and make it hot! But principally need to reduce the condition as brings this about, which is through the intestinal system, and from auto-intoxication as produced from conditions that are infectious forces, as seen and applied through that as has been given.

7. (Q) How much water does he need in 24 hours? (A) That which will supply the whole system and keep the body nearer NOMINAL in that as is thrown off. Consistency, or a study of the conditions, will produce that reaction as is seen necessary. If there is thrown off from the system more than ordinary of that necessary for the proper equilibrium to be kept, then increase the amount of water. What is the proper equilibrium? That as is nominal to a system.

8. (Q) Would the climate of San Diego, California, be beneficial to him and his family? (A) That ABOVE San Diego would be more beneficial than that near to San Diego. Beware of the quakes as will occur there a little later on.

9. (Q) How soon will they occur? (A) Eighteen months to two years.

10. (Q) Would some other climate be more beneficial than California? (A) Sunshine is needed. Any of the districts where sufficient sunshine is to be found, when we take the family into consideration; where they may be kept out. California, Mexico or New Mexico, well - or in Georgia is good, provided they will keep outside.
