[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce.]
Time of Reading 3:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
-
GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [4322] of […] Brothers, 636 First Avenue, New York City, but who is at present in the Fifth Avenue Library, Fifth Avenue & 41st Street, New York City, and you will answer the questions regarding his business associations, as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [4322].
-
There are some conditions regarding the physical forces of the body that need attention!
-
As regarding business association, and the affiliations with […] Brothers, we have those conditions and associations here. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) How may the condition which exists between the three brothers which compose this firm be settled? It is so serious as to jeopardize the future of the firm and the happiness of the families concerned. (A) This condition existent is seen as the outgrowth of misunderstandings, and the manner in which this should be handled is: Those who desire to continue the business under the present arrangements, or with the changes as would come about by the relieving of the one - or ones - that are at loggerheads one with the other, make the price that the one would take or give for the interests of the other. This then may be handled in an amicable and amiable manner, and the conducting of the business along the lines of those who ESTABLISHED same would prove as the correct way to make the success of same. This manner of handling the situation would prevent any legal entanglements, and should leave all in the present and in a good frame of mind.
These entanglements are of the nature that they will not untangle themselves, and SOME are of such dispositions as not to listen to reason. Hence “give or take” should be the motto, for this will be able to be handled by EITHER of the brothers retiring from the firm, by the others conducting the business, see?
- (Q) Should the one brother who is the cause of the trouble be caused to retire from the firm, or should firm dissolve? In either case, or for the solution given, give specific instructions. (A) As given, these are specific instructions. Make such a price for retirement of either, or both, or all, as is in keeping with give or take, see? for the attempt to FORCE an issue in EITHER manner is to court trouble, and cause greater dissension - but arrive at that conclusion of give or take, and this should settle the matter - for, as given, either the one or the other will be able to handle such conditions, see? and SETTLE all in a satisfactory manner. Not necessary for dissolving, but rather the settling of disputed and muted questions, that there may not be entanglements for the ones connected - either of the brothers or employees, see?
Follow these lines. Keep the condition ever before self that: BOTH may be right and BOTH may be wrong at the same time, and that the discussion and the hard feelings as arise from entanglements are not in keeping with that ensample, or example, set before either. See?
-
(Q) How long will it take to right matters? (A) Three to six months should see the whole in a satisfactory manner. Three to five weeks to complete the deal.
-
(Q) Give any other information I should know to put business on a firm foundation and promote the happiness of all concerned? (A) In the manner of business - and putting same in a satisfactory shape and manner - MUCH may be said. Rather show self EFFICIENT in the handling of the present internal conditions, and there may be given MUCH for the improvement of matters.
-
We are through for the present.

Mr. [4322] New York City
Dear Mr. [4322]
I’m sorry indeed that we have been so busy that we haven’t had the opportunity to acknowledge your application for membership to the Association, and to make the appointment for your physical reading. As indicated in your last letter
- and as Mr. Blumenthal also suggested - possibly this matter was worrying you most at the present time. Hence this reading was made first. We will, however, acknowledge your request for membership and send you all data concerning same.
Thanking you for your interest, and trusting that we may be of service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
