This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of August, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4322].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are those conditions with the physical forces of this body that are very unsatisfactory. While many physical conditions are very good - and the body does not at all times feel the effects of the conditions that cause distress; for, as it were, they go and come - yet correction should be made, that the body may manifest the better physically and mentally; for - with the existent conditions - the physical good - the body act in the way and manner that brings detriment to self-physical and to conditions in general.

4. These, then, are the physical conditions as we find them with this body, [4322] we are speaking of:

THE BLOOD SUPPLY, shows the effect of poor elimination, and of improper assimilation, or a form of nerve digestion, produced by specific conditions in the nerve system and affecting directly organs of the hepatic circulation - the liver and the kidneys both at times becoming involved in same. These, as we see then, throw back into the system those conditions that should be eliminated at times. Hence the change in the elements and constituents of blood from time to time; yet at times the body assuming the control over self, the body will feel better when an eliminant has been taken, or when the activity of the intestinal system has been raised to an extra degree. The general effect, then, in the body needs correction, that more serious conditions may not arise in the body. These - with worries - cause the greater distress in the physical forces of the body.

6. Not then organic conditions, but rather pressure in nerve system, and a resultant derangement in the functioning of physical organs, especially of the organs of digestion of elimination, and the resultant effects upon the general nerve system and the whole body.

7. To meet the needs of these conditions, then, we would correct those subligations as exist in the body in the lower portion of the dorsal and in the sacral, and in the 6th and 7th dorsal vertebrae. Lumbar, sacral, and in the dorsal vertebrae - 5th and 6th, see? Let these corrections be osteopathically made, necessitating from six to ten (6 to 10) such adjustments and manipulations - making adjustments every second treatment and a general treatment every second treatment - see?

8. Take these properties as the adjustments are being made; that is, during the same period, and we will find the general physical forces of this body, [4322], nearer the normal force. Prepare as this:

9. To one-half (1/2) gallon of distilled water and Wild Cherry Bark eight (8) ounces. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to one-half (1/2) the quantity, or to one (1) quart. Add to this six (6) ounces of sugar, reducing same to six ounces. Then add:

Senna…4 grains, Tincture of Stillingia…1/2 ounce, Iodide of Potassium 10% solution…20 minims, Tincture of Rhubarb…20 minims, Oil of Sassafras…10 minims.

Then add two (2) ounces pure grain alcohol. Shake solution well to-gether before the dose is taken, which should be teaspoonful before each meal - and EAT THE MEALS! but do not eat much meat with the meals. Let the body PERSIST - and consist principally - upon a vegetable diet, and little or no meats - maybe once in a while, and let that NEVER be fried meats - boiled may be taken in moderation - but principally fowl and fish.

10. Do that. Eat whole wheat bread, rather than white bread, or brown breads of every nature - rye or any of that nature may be taken.

11. Drink PLENTY of water. Take more water - by twice the quantity - than the body has been taking in the past.

12. We will find these will bring near normal conditions for the body, [4322].

13. We are through for the present.
