This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of July, 1928, in accordance with request made by Linden Shroyer.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. The conditions show improvement from that which we have had. While not all those suggestions have been carried out exactly in the manner given, these in their general effect have brought bettered conditions for the body.

2. These conditions now may be changed, for the first conditions were for bringing about the reaction in that assimilated in system, due to the effect had upon the lacteal ducts in their assimilation and distribution of forces in system, as affected from the glands of pre-generation, or of genitation, which were bringing about those conditions as were making hardening, or WOULD make hardening, of the reactory forces in tissue as control muscular forces of the body. These conditions, with the application of the actinic rays, have been assisted.

3. Then, these changes - as we find - would be necessary at this time: First we find the condition luetic in its origin. This, as seen, affects then the entire system as to productive forces within same. As the body is made up in the physical, as well as in the mental, of innumerable numbers of cellular forces capable of reproduction within itself, disseminating in each instance that as necessary for the replenishing of the body - whether it be hair, skin, in tissue, serum, blood, bone, muscle, or what not - in the innumbrable numbers of various elements, when these are so subjugated as to be overcome, and any one element supplying in the system that which would overbalance same, then we have - biologically, anatomically - the whole system out of balance; which comes from luetic conditions especially, or syphilitic. In this condition then at the present, meted out as THIS condition, bettered.

4. These to be substituted in whole to that as has BEEN applied, or changed as the conditions are in order with some of these. Prepare now as this:

5. First take 32 ounces distilled water and add 8 ounces wild cherry bark. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to 1/2 the quantity, which would be 16 ounces. To this add 4 ounces simple syrup. Then add:

Compound Syrup cf Sarsaparilla…2 ounces, Elixir Yellow Dock Root…1 ounce, Elixir Burdock Root, or the Essence…1 ounce, Essence of Dogfennel…1/2 ounce, Tincture or Essence of Dogwood…1/4 ounce, Tincture or Essence of Prickly Ash…1/4 ounce, Elixir Calisaya…1 ounce, Essence of Pepsin…1/2 ounce, Tincture Stillingia…1/2 ounce.

Then cut 2 drams Balsam of Tolu in 4 ounces grain alcohol and add to the solution.

6. The dose would be dessert spoonful 4 times each day.

7. Once each week take a sweat bath, to the steam of which there is added, one bath, half a teaspoonful Tincture of Iodine; to the next sweat bath (the next week) add half a teaspoonful Oil of Wintergreen. FOLLOWING each bath, rub the body down thoroughly with coarse salt. Then take a tepid shower.

8. Beware of meats, fats, or oils in the diet until these conditions are ELIMINATED from the system.

9. Keep up the LIGHT baths, though do not apply so often. Once a week would be sufficient. Ready for questions. Do that.

10. (Q) Are the light treatments of the proper kind and strength? (A) Proper kind and strength, used in the way and consistently in the manner here directed, rather than that at first.

The conditions as are asked here, as seen, are answered in that given - save as to the visit away. Rather use these where they will be applied in the better way and manner, than that which has been suggested or thought of.
