EC: Now, we find the body in a better condition than when we had this before. While those conditions to be corrected through that of the osteopathic forces in the system have not been corrected, still we have a better assimilation and elimination in the system than as before.
-
In the vibrations accorded the system, these have been very good, save where, with the change in the vibrations to the system, when with that of the osteopathic forces to renew the connection in the muscular system, that relaxes and contracts the muscles in the cerebrospinal system, this accorded then to the system produces the tingling, itching sensation over the system.
-
We would, to give the best to this body, carry out, as we have given, those suggestions for the treatment accorded the system, in the way and the manner as given for the osteopathic forces, to relax and contract centers in the cerebro-spinal system that function with the functioning organs of the system proper, as we have in the upper dorsal and in the upper lumbar region, and especially that in the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal.
-
Do that in the manner as given, if we would bring the better to this body, and this will give the correction when taken as given. Not before then.

R1. 5/25/24 [4471]‘s letter to EC:
Columbus, O.
Dear Sir -
Have your letter and reading - and note what you suggest in regard to change of Osteopath. After thinking it over, I have decided not to see another osteopath here, but will wait a few weeks, and then go over to Dayton and see Dr. Gravett - and take a few treatments from him if he should so advise. I can stay in Troy with my people, and can get down to Dayton every two or three days for a treatment - if Dr. Gravett thinks he can help me.
Don’t you think this would be a good plan? The osteopath to whom I have been going for treatment was recommended to me as one of the best in Columbus, but as Dr. Gravett knows you and knows about your work I think perhaps it would be an advantage to go right to him, and see what he says.
Thanking you for the reading and suggestion -
I am, yours sincerely, [4471]

Mrs. [4471] Columbus, Ohio
My dear Mrs. [4471]
I have yours of the 25th and I think that your suggestion to have Dr. Gravett give you the treatments is an excellent one, for we can then, after the second or third treatment, with you present, make another reading and see that it is doing just what it should.
Would be very glad if you would let me know when you have arranged for this, or if you so desire I will speak to Dr. Gravett and let you know when it will be satisfactory with him for you to begin.
Thanking you and hoping to be of service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
R3. 6/19/24 [4471]‘s letter to EC:
Dear Sir -
Have been to Dayton to see Dr. Gravett - took three treatments of him. He says my back is all right. If there was ever anything wrong it is all right now. Says there is no doubt that there is poison in my system, but not where your readings suggest. Probably comes from my tonsils - as they show pus.
So far as we could see Dr. Gravett’s treatments made no noticeable improvements. So it certainly looks as though there was something wrong with your reading.
I asked you several times about my tonsils - and your readings said nothing about them. A tonsil that oozes pus is surely diseased and poisons the system.
It looks to me as thought the readings were all wrong - don’t you think so?
Yours truly, [4471]
R4. 6/23/24 EC’s letter to [4471]:
Dear Mrs. [4471]:
I have yours of the 19th, for which I thank you very much. I’m sorry indeed, however, that you did not come in to see me or let me know when you were in town, that I might have taken this matter up with you personally, for I am sure it could have been done much more satisfactory than it could be done by letter. I would have liked very much to have gone over the copy of the readings with you and to have checked them up with Dr. Gravett’s findings. Of course, it is possible that there is something wrong with the reading. That is why that I would have liked to have checked them with you in person, for in reading them over I find there is notation made that there are conditions in tonsils and teeth which need local attention. This, however, is given more as a result of a condition in system than being the cause of conditions. This, then, makes a question and I am sure only time and treatments will demonstrate which is correct. Now, as you have had the other treatments and do not find the results that you desire, if you go about to have the correction in tonsils and teeth, then have no more trouble there will still I suppose be the question as to which condition did the correcting. However, it is possible that I may be in Columbus the latter part of this week or next. If I am, I would like very much to see you and talk with you regarding this, for I am very much in hopes that we can find that which will be of a permanent relief to you. I cannot help but believe, from past experiences, that the reading is correct. If this would be satisfactory to have one more reading on this to check things up, when you are present and can ask the questions you desire, I would like to have a line from you and I shall be glad to call you when I’m in Columbus.
Again thanking you and assuring you I desire to be of help if possible, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
