GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
-
Now, the general attitude, the general condition of this body is constantly on the improve. The body needs only keep those conditions as have been outlined for same, keeping the applicator in place, with sufficient recharging from day to day, and well that at least twice each day, for three to ten minutes, the applicator be laid across the eyes, as the body rests. Not longer than this. We would also find that much of the inflammation would be brought to the surface for elimination by applying to the eye, every second or third day, those properties of scraped Irish potato (old potato - not new), and this allowed to lay on same - making heavy packs, see, over same - laying a cloth over it. When this becomes dry, take off and cleanse with a weak solution of Boracic Acid, to cleanse all the impurities from the lids and about same. This will bring relief to this portion, and the general condition will be improved by same. Add these to the present conditions, and keep in a consistent and a persistent manner that same attitude, that condition for self as has been outlined, for we will bring better conditions to this body, and eventually we will bring sight again.

We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/26/26 EC’s letter to [4531]: “I am sorry that we were so long in getting to this, but I was called to Kentucky to see my mother who I am glad to report is very much improved. This delay made the appointments pile up on us… I should feel, Miss [4531], that this is a very encouraging report, and I am in hopes that it will impress you in the same way and manner, for from this I would have no doubt but what eventually you are going to regain your eyesight sufficient to do most anything you want to. You have just got to be patient, be persistent and consistent with what is to be done for the relief, keep your body good and strong, and your mind set in that way that will allow the real healing powers to operate through your body…”
R2. 6/7/26 [4531]‘s letter to EC: “I will certainly be persistent with the treatment which you recommended in your last reading. Although I really feel that I am continually growing stronger as your readings says, I regret to say that I received your reading shortly after I had had one of the setbacks which I have been subject to since my operation. I had hoped I would never have another of these attacks and had not had one for two years and a half but I am happy to say that this one was not as severe as usual and that I was only kept in bed about five days. I think it was the result of working too hard over my braille music and psychology. I knew I showed a few signs of being run down but I tried to get a little more rest but I did not get sufficient rest, so that I finally collapsed from mental and physical exhaustion, I suppose. So I have decided not to be so ambitious and to acknowledge that I am not as strong as the average person…”
[[4531]‘s mother’s note at end of above letter:] “[4531]‘s attack was an epileptic convulsion, the morning your letter arrived. Your reading helped to give her cheer.”
R3. 6/11/26 EC’s letter to [4531]: “I was glad to have yours of the 7th, and to note that you were continually growing stronger. I am sorry to know though that you had one of your setbacks. I believe you should take this rather as a good omen. It shows rather a retraction - that is, the conditions are so adjusting themselves that you are coming back nearer to the normal, for, as you say, the attack was much lighter and I am sure you find that the recovery from same was very much quicker. I feel very sure that, if you keep the same mental attitude that you are going to find a great deal of difference.
“Yes, I think there are times when we find that our ambitions become detrimental to our physical being, for you know it’s really the moderation in everything that attains the greatest…”
R4. 8/79 See Source File Key #4531 for 8/79 A.R.E. NEWS article entitled UNLOCKING THE TREASURE which quoted extensively from earlier correspondence between Edgar Cayce and [4531], re Rdg. No. 4531-3. The article ended with this paragraph:
“The last reading [4531] received stated that she would eventually regain her sight but, as with so many people, she did not continue to correspond with Edgar Cayce and we do not know if this occurred. All we know, without a doubt, is that she grew spiritually through her contact with Edgar Cayce, the man, as well as Edgar Cayce, the psychic.”
