This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 3rd day of July, 1925, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [325].

1. GC: You will give a physical, mental and spiritual reading for this body, with suggestions for the improvement of any or all of these.

2. EC: Yes, we have the impressions of the entity here, physical, mental and spiritual.

3. Now, in the physical conditions of this body, these we find very good in many respects and the body in that way, form and manner of keeping near normal. The conditions of which the body should be warned of, in regards the physical forces of the body, are especially those that have to do with the eliminations in the system, and the condition as is existent in teeth. The left portion in wisdom tooth, this needs local attention, also in the front and right, second molar, this needs local attention. We find there are being absorbed in the system some poisons and toxins as are being produced by this condition.

4. This, as we see then, gives an overtaxation to the emunctories, thus surcharging, as it were, the condition an existent in the upper portion of intestinal digestion, giving a tendency toward the formation of toxins and inflammation gives, the dull, laggard, heavy feeling, tendency of the outer and inner portions of skin in body to feel separated one from the other. This the beginning, as it were, of conditions that would produce in the mesenteric system those inflammations that would bring on constipation for the body, which, with this overtaxed condition, might bring detrimental conditions to eliminations in kidneys, in liver, and an engorgement in spleen, with mental activities of body.

5. Then, to assist this and to bring about the normal forces, that the body may function normal, correct first those as have been given as needing local attention - teeth, you see. Then, taking more of those properties in system in the form of diet that give more and better eliminations throughout the system, taking occasionally those of an alkaline cathartic that keeps the lower portion of duodenum and upper intestinal tract eliminated of fecal matter. This, as we see, would bring the normal eliminations to the body. Hence assisting in the emanations, physical and mental, in eliminations through the physical, and better assimilations for the body.

6. In the mental forces, we find these are very good. In the development of the mental of the body, that in the line of literature may be developed to the extent where the mental forces will give off that much worth while to the populace and public, bringing much development to self and to those who would come to rely on that of the endeavor of this body [See 460-1, Par. R6]. Keeping in the spiritual manner and way in which the entity has had its early training, close to the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, for in Him there is the light and the way unto the better development of the body, physical, mental and the spiritual will have its way of manifesting in the forces necessary for the better development of the body, mind and soul.

7. As to the marital relations that might come into the life of the individual, better that these be put away for the present, until the development has reached that stage wherein the mental has the ability of expanding itself in the way that will give the greater peace, joy and happiness to the body, and to those who may be dependent, whether in mental or physical, upon the activities of the body, from the physical viewpoint. [See 460-4, Par. 4-A on 9/30/31 asking if she has met the man she is to marry.]

R1. 7/16/25 “I was awfully pleased with the rdg. and will try to do just what you told me. I had my teeth examined but the conditions you described have not developed as yet. The only molar tooth I have been at all troubled with was x-rayed but the picture didn’t show anything wrong. However, something may come up so I’m on the war-path if it should.”

R2. 2/5/26 Brother [257]‘s letter: “[460] is still having a lot of trouble with her face. I do not like to ask for so much of your time but I would appreciate your giving her a rdg. as soon as possible… What causes condition to her face? We had teeth examined and dentist [Henry Elson, D.D.S.] says nothing is wrong. What tooth is it? How can the tooth be detected? Will an x-ray show it? Give her complete physical diagnosis. Give proper diet. What exercise should she take? Will she be able to go to school? What about her course - what should she take in school? How long will it take her physical condition to be corrected?”

R3. 3/11/26 “My face and back are full of blackheads that form into pimples [Acne]… I have about all the evils a girl doesn’t want - poor complexion and a ‘hairy chin’ - isn’t that awful? Maybe you can tell me how to remedy that too. A doctor suggested that it is due to internal conditions.”

R6. 5/28/26 Sister [459]‘s letter: “[460] is taking psychology at the university and that’s all she talks about. She talked about your work in class and says all of them are spellbound (known as hypnotism). Dr. Holmes said he surely wanted an interview with you. He is a master of psychology.”
